What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I wanted to consolidate several pensions

How has Nicola Whateley helped you?

I had previously contacted another Adviser, however, despite my stating my exact requirements they proposed an unsuitable solution. I contacted Nicola and she advised that it was possible for me to achieve my objectives. Nicola has been my Adviser since spring 2018, she was very thorough at the initial meeting and I regained my confidence in Financial Advisers, I was kept up to date throughout the whole process on the progress.

Nicola achieved all that I asked for

She helped me to understand and plan ready for retirement. Also transfer of savings and pensions to maximize returns prior to retirement.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We've used a series of financial advisers for a number of years with mixed results with the exception of one who was absolutely brilliant but sadly retired.

How has Nicola Whateley helped you?

Nicola came into our lives through joint business dealings. She's found a pension my husband didn't even know he had. She then proceeded to give him some absolutely sensible guidance regards where he should allocate his extra pension savings (his employer - which another had failed to spot) and then halved my SIPP costs. If that's not enough, Daisy her sister, then made us aware of various mortgage options eg paying off vs half and half repayment/interest only.

Yes. Indeed.

Nicola listened to my situation and the issues I thought I had and clarified areas where my knowledge was lacking and made suggestions as to how I could look at things differently. I have come away with a clearer vision and will be returning to follow though with identified options.

After making initial contact through VouchedFor I was matched with Diasy Whateley, who has been extremely supportive, responsive and clear through every step of the way (refreshing after dealing with solicitors and estate agents with whom I've had the complete opposite experience). I can't recommend her highly enough.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Consolidation of debt and to change our Mortgage from shared ownership to a full Mortgage. We needed to consolidate to reduce the interest paid on loans and credit cards.

How has Nicola Whateley helped you?

Nicola found us a suitable Mortgage and consolidation loan which has reduced our monthly outgoings. Niclola explained the process with a friendly approach and easy to understand. The new Mortgage and consolidation has improved our finances.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

We are very pleased with the help we had from Nicola, our new Mortgage and bills are now affordable. Our debt was huge, being refused for loans and Mortgage in the past was such a worry. Meeting Nicola has changed our financial situation, we have regular contact and updates.

What could they have done better?

Meeting Nicola as our financial Adviser has changed our situation from a Negative to a Positive. We would definitely recommend Nicola and will continue to see Nicola for any future advice.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I first meet Nicola when she was an advisor in my local bank, I went to my bank at that time for some investment advise, not knowing who else to trust. I was more than happy with the way Nicola dealt with my concerns and also more than happy with the returns on investment she recommended. When Nicola then left the bank to eventually become independent I made sure to keep in touch and now we meet at least a couple of times a year to manage my finances and keep track of investments etc. I have also approached Nicola for advise on pensions and life assurance, all of which I have no complaints about what so ever.

How has Nicola Whateley helped you?

Over the years Nicola as helped me to insure my investments are making a good return on investment. Nicola has also advised on the right life assurance for my needs and I know should anything happen I'm more than happy my family would be provided for. Currently my company is discussing a change to final salary pension and Nicola is being a wonderful support offering guidance and advise to help me get the best possible outcome from the termination of the company scheme and what direction I should go in in order to compensate for the changes being made.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

More than happy with all the investments Nicola has recommended for me, but before making any investment Nicola always makes sure my attitude to risk is clear and I know exactly what I'm investing in or paying for. I could not have achieved the return on investment on my own, and for that reason I know the information Nicola is providing is trust worthy.

What could they have done better?

I really can't add anything here, I'm more than happy with the service provided and if I ask Nicola advise for anything financial I know I'll get a response within 24 hours.
