Stephen understands our needs and listens carefully to our preferences. He is reassuring about complicated procedures. He never tries to push a product or influence us beyond advice. He has been very sympathetic and a good friend in our difficult circumstances since my husband's Alzheimer's diagnosis.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Needing help with care costs and helping with funds for grandchildren. Help from Stephen has been reassuring and secured the financial situation.

What could they have done better?

Sometimes I find the documentation a little confusing and need to know how to deal with summaries etc that arrive in the post, so could do with advice on keeping records perhaps, but I know I can ask about this when we have a meeting.

Stephen has always set aside time for myself and my wife to review our options on investments, we never feel rushed into decisions his advice Over the last 2 1/2 years has proven to be very beneficial to us. Advice in this field can be very daunting to the layman, but Stephen is prepared to bring it to our level with diagrams and sketches to explain it fully.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

We are still getting advice from Stephen and through both good and bad times with the markets we are still extremely happy with the advice that we are receiving.

Stephen has been looking after my financial portfolio since selling my business in 2009, with twice yearly reviews which he always works around my diary no matter where I am. Over the years Stephen has provided me with excellent advise, always taking into consideration my likes/dislikes about certain financial products and provides me with alternative ideas. He's recently reviewed my various pensions and amalagmated them into one. Stephen always gives me great comfort in knowing my financial portfolio is save and on track for my retirement.

We sold our business 3 years ago and after paying off several debts we had a financial pot which we were keen to invest for the future as we were still relatively young and needed our money to work for us. We spoke to several Financial Advisers who were extremely pushy in their approach and did not fill us with the greatest confidence. We met Stephen by chance through a mutual friend and immediately struck up a rapport, it was refreshing to talk to someone in the sector who let us do the talking about what we wanted. How has Stephen Ng helped you?

Stephen is one of the few IFA's who truly offers unbiased advice. He is a good listener and sees it as a strength to double check on issues he isn't 100% sure of. I am a firm believer that good advice is advice worth paying for. Most people think they know about financial issues or what is best for them and their money. The reality is, in my view, far different and means that many act too quickly or on impulse when making serious financial decisions. As an industry, financial services has been justifiably tarnished with the wrong brush. As such, it is important to seek out a competent and honest advisor, one more interested in your needs than their own.
