Unfortunately our previous advisor died suddenly.

Paul helped both myself and my wife understand what we needed to do on the loss of our pension advisor. He was able to offer very good advice, made us feel at ease, and finally helped move our pension that needed to. Also advising on pensions that didn’t need to move.

I was just after a review of my pension situation and the best way forward. Paul was very honest about my limitations and what he would be able to do. He was friendly and down to earth, and persistent when I kept missing his calls. He was also honest in telling me that it would not be cost effective to use him more fully at this time.

I decided to take voluntary severance and Paul was recommended by others who had already done so.

Paul provided an initial meeting without condition to assess what my requirements were and discuss the various options available to me. Once I had decided which option to take he then Paul worked with the pensions adviser to provide a stress free transfer of funds.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Very much so. Given the current situation with the Covid pandemic, I feel that my fund has performed better than I could have anticipated.

What could they have done better?

It is difficult to think of such a situation, Paul had been clear from the start that I should view my funds as a long term strategy that would have peaks and troughs so when the fund dropped considerably I wasn't of a mind to panic but was a little nervous. Whether an e mail or message of reassurance would have helped I am not sure, but I have no doubt that if I had got in touch Paul would have been helpful and reassuring.

We needed to set up private pensions and savings in our early 30s.

Paul assessed our entire financial position, gave us sound advise on the right routes forward for us and ensured we had a solid belt and braces approach to protecting our financial position too. Paul has continued to work with us and adjust our situation over the last ten years and amend advice given when required due to changing circumstances.

We have everything in place and more to give us a reasonably solid financial future and working with Paul ongoing, we are more than happy that we will get the desired outcomes for our retirement - which is a long time off yet.

What could they have done better?

Paul is so thorough and explains things in very plain and understandable terms that I don’t think there is much he could do better for us. One thing I’d perhaps suggest is more online forms and signatures - the paper based method often gets lost and I must confess we don’t return forms that we would perhaps get done online easier and quicker.

Paul is 100% trustworthy ... that’s quite a hard thing to say and to believe but from the first minute to 5-6 years later all he has ever done is endorse that belief !. So from giving me his honest advice to managing my pension money to being always available for my questions to giving me confidence in what we both wanted ( in my case improve my financial status) he has achieved. You hear so many horror stories about people’s mishandled pension monies .. Paul definitely isn’t one of them ...he has honesty, integrity, awareness and at the end deliver a good result .... that’s how he’s helped me !

Yes and more !!! When you consider everything that has gone off in the last 5 years ie brexit, trump, Covid to name a few it’s a miracle to have achieved such great results ( touchwood!!).

What could they have done better?

My wife initially was very very apprehensive and concerned after all it’s our future... but after 3 years the figures are good but more importantly we trust Paul !. If your not sure ... my advice meet Paul ... he is a thoroughly nice chap who knows his job , easy to talk to , patient ( I do ask loads and loads of questions.. some silly ones but he answers with patience and respect ).5* easy !!!

Approximately 10 years ago I decided it was time to seek some professional financial advice principally to structure my long term investments.

How has Paul Lewis helped you?

Paul listens to his client’s goals, their stage of career and then provides straightforward, no nonsense bespoke advice which can be readily understood.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

My pension arrangements are now manageable and in a strong position rather than investments scattered in various pots. Without Paul’s assistance my investments would be randomly scattered in different investments and would not be tailored to my current situation.

What could they have done better?

Paul has provided sound advice throughout the past approximately 10 years. Cannot fault the service received from Paul and his team to date.

As someone unfamiliar with planning retirement, almost all the concepts and terms were new. Paul patiently walked me through my options explaining clearly the many points I didn't understand. At no time did he hurry me or push a particular agenda. He scored 4 rather than 5 only because, while it was very useful context, the discussion focussed on an option I am unlikely to be able to take and with hindsight did not address the problem I do have to solve as thoroughly as others

I wrote a review last year with the proviso of I would update after one year !!! paul has obviously part of this.

Very definitely yes ... the investment has increased which is obviously good all of which was Paul’s selections and I am very happy with how the investment is progressing.. let’s see what it does in 2018 !! Paul has been on hand throughout the year with any concerns or queries I have had and responded positively and quickly . I genuinely believe Paul has my interest at heart and advises in a open, honest and easy to understand manner ... really nice person as well with great family values !.

What could they have done better?

Make me more money !!! Poss give me at my reviews a 10-20 year projection on what my yearly spend could be per year based on cautious increases taking into account tax etc so that we have a understanding of where I will be at various stages of my life and we are both on the same page ref yearly withdrawal and at the reviews of the investment has changed we react accordingly !!
