Mike sent me an e-mail detailing his services very promptly and followed it up with text messages suggesting a phone conversation, which never happened. I thought he would phone me, but maybe he was waiting for me to phone him?

Hi Gordon, I emailed you immediately but had no reply, so messaged in case you hadn't received the email. I asked you when you were free for a call and suggested this week but had no reply? It may have gone astray somewhere maybe? Our email was sent to you on 6th April and gave details of our services in great detail including our fee structure, so I don't understand why you would say that you weren't sure how our fees work or that you weren't sure what we could do to help with you achieving your goals as this was clearly explained in our introductory email. The last text message I received from you said that you would like a chat after Easter, to which I replied "Tuesday maybe?". I have had no response from you since then. We never try to pressure our clients into a meeting so I assumed you must have been busy and would respond when you were ready. There's obviously been some kind of technical hitch but we would be delighted to have a chat with you whenever convenient. I am on annual leave from Monday for 10 days but am happy to chat later today or even Sunday if that would help.

It is just not a strong point for me and being professionally busy i need to be able to just package up what im after. Mike was quick to respond to my initial enquiry and arranged a meeting at my home, I informed Mike that I was speaking to 3 separate advisors for comparative purposes, at no time did I feel pressured to use his services, in fact he commended me on my actions After speaking to 2 other advisors it quickly became apparent that Mike was the preferred option, his advice was sound based on my specific circumstances and requirements and his cost structures were extremely competitive. Once we agreed to work together Mike handled all the paperwork for the transfers, reccomended an alternative scheme that matched my risk profile and growth expectations and arranged for the tax free lump sum to be transferred to my bank account. I was very nervous about the whole process after reading all the press about pension scam Etc. Mike answered all my questions and allayed my worries very professionally, he was very quick to respond to my numerous e mails/questions and I could not be happier with his services, I would have no problem reccomending Mike as an independent financial advisor.

Mike was quick to respond to my request and arranged to visit me at home to discuss the best way forward in consolidating my pensions, drawing a tax free lump sum and investing the remainder. His advice seems sound (similar to other advisors I spoke to) and I am using his services to invest in a low risk pension scheme, that will hopefully give reasonable growth rates, his advice was tailored to my quite specific needs and I never felt pressured into any decisions.
