Neil was very quick in responding to my request and we ended up having a telephone conversation in which he gave me some useful advice. On reflection, I would have preferred a face-to-face conversation.

Neil is very reliable and able to illustrate financial information in simple terms. He is also pragmatic and thorough with his advice.

I had a preliminary meeting with Neil (no charge) at the end of which he told me honestly that he did not think that he could do much for me as I seemed to be doing well on my own. He suggested I needed to rebalance my share holdings to get a wider coverage of types and areas, which I thought good advice. At present I am in the process of selling a house and buying a flat, which has involved selling shares to cover a likely gap between receipts and expenditure, but when these matters are settled, I may well return for more specific advice.

Neil met with me in London on a busy day midweek and was clear and concise about my finances. He had a plan, well reviewed and structured, for every question I had posed on my initial email. Frankly, he was in a different league to my previous FA. He is efficient (came back to me with all the paperwork within 3 days!) and not pushy in the slightest. His rates are in line with his services and Mayfield are far better value than my previous FA.

What could they have done better?

Absolutely nothing as yet - he has met me on time every time, been happy to discuss issues out of hours and been open to hearing my ideas and future goals.
