How has Jim Marlow helped you?

Friendly, patient service. Good at explaining things so they are easy to understand. As first time buyers we weren't made to feel like we were out of our depth. Took the stress out of a lot of the process and dealings with our mortgage provider. We felt like we could call any time and ask any questions.

What could they have done better?

In our opinion we don't feel anything could have been improved. As this is our first experience of buying a property we don't have anything to compare but we were very happy with the service provided

How has Jim Marlow helped you?

Jim was recommended to me by a friend and I have recommended Jim to my friends and family. Jim is calm and professional at all times. He is extremely knowledgeable and advised me on what type of mortgage I should go for, explaining the process for me in a simplified way so that I knew exactly what would happen and what my options were. Jim found an excellent mortgage deal for me and then acted as a intemediary between me, the bank, the sellers solicitor and the Estate agents- this really took the strain off what is always a stressful time and was definitely worth the fee. Jim is always very easy to get hold of- either by the phone or via email and reviewed my case on a regular basis, contacting me for updates to see how my purchase was progressing. I originally called Jim because I was living overseas and thought it was worth the cost of using a financial adviser to help me arrange a UK mortgage from abroad, but now that I am back in the UK and at the end of the process, I can confidently say that it is definitly worth the money to have Jim advising you and the cost of his services are very small in relation to what he actually does.

What could they have done better?

Sorry, but Jim went above and beyond on a regular basis and I genuinly have no changes to suggest- keep doing what you are doing!

Jim Marlow has always provided us with an excellent and clear spread of information in order to help us make the right mortgage and re-mortgage decisions. He has anticipated issues that we should take into consideration and was completely open to exploring other options that we suggested. His service was really prompt, and he was also available at short notice and during unsociable hours (eg, the weekend) to offer advice and hard information, in particular regarding whether we could make an offer for a house or not. He is a very clear communicator and has plenty of patience when it comes to explaining complexities.

How has Jim Marlow helped you?

Jim Marlow was recommended to me by a colleague as being a fantastic mortgage broker, the best and so indeed his help and support to me turned out to be. Jim supported me with enormous patience and unfailing good humour over a long period of house hunting and kept me sane when several purchases fell through for different reasons. The purchase of the house I eventually bought was fraught with difficulties and Jim helped me steer through it all. He helped me find both buy to let and purchase mortgages that enabled me to buy a high priced property even though I am considerably over usual mortgage seeking age. I would not hesitate to recommend Jim as an excellent mortgage broker. Big thank you to Jim for all his help.

A photo sooner would be nice as all transactions are by phone and email!

Jim had a bit of a rocky journey with me and battlled to find me (and my son) a mortgage. He was, ABOVE ALL, incredibly patient. He certainly had to do a lot of work - but finally succeeded in find me a mortgage. He gets 10 out of 10 for not showing any signs of frustration.

I got in touch with Jim when I decided to buy a second property. In order to do this, I had to re mortgage the flat I was living in. Jim worked out the finances and I was ready to go for it. At the last minute I got cold feet and realised that I wasn't ready to take on that responsibility. Jim never tried to make me change my mind and although he had already done the research, he respected the fact that I wasn't yet ready. A year later, I did contact him again and I now own 2 flats and I am really happy about the advice he gave me. I had no clue about finance and he always took the time to answer my questions - and I always had a lot of questions! He always gave me time to digest the information before making a decision which I really appreciated.
