Just retired a year ago and needed good professional help with my pensions etc

Gave good sound advice on the many products available and was very helpful and courteous in our meetings.

Yes to a certain extent as was maybe too hopeful that my investments would have returned a bigger dividend. Although in this climate I made money so I am happy.

I think that Cara did exactly what I asked for and all that we agreed during our meetings and reviews.

We received very good advice from Cara regarding the placement of our savings and investments and feel we can rely on her expertise to tell us if any advantageous changes might be made to our funds, i.e. in cases of transfers and of better investment opportunities, in accordance with our wishes. How has Cara Thompson helped you?

We were referred to Leggatts by a personal friend who had been very satisfied with their approach and service. We had a number of ISAs and other savings but did not feel we had the expertise to manage and add to them, appropriately. Our advisor at Leggatts was personable, professional, and experienced and we were satisfied and relieved to be able to put the management of our investments into their hands. It was helpful to be able to have a frank discussion about our approach to risk, and about the sorts of companies we felt comfortable investing in (for example, considering the ethical principles of the companies recommended to us). At all stages we were provided with information to help us decide what to do, and never felt any pressure to invest in a certain product. We had speedy responses to any queries as had, and always felt that there was more than one option on the table for us to consider. For anyone who has resisted using a financial advisor, I would say that the money spent of these services is well spent. Many people are probably like us - keen to get good returns but not really having the time, energy or expertise to do a good job of it.

After almost three years of service, I cannot identify any areas where we are not fully satisfied.

Cara Thompson addressed all my wife and my presonal savings on both my retirement and my wife's imminent one in April 2014. I chose her company at random via the local telephone pages and could not have made a better choice. I found her to be extremely well qualified in all related matters with easy to understand responses to all my questions. No matter, however small, was a problem with meetings set up for further discussions at very short notice. Therefore, I would have no hesitation in recommending Leggatts Financial Services and Cara Thompson in particular to any relevant party.
