How has Nico Goymer helped you?

My Accountants suggested that I should meet The Wealth Group and Nico Gomez after I had been struggling for sometime to find a Financial Advisor who could come to grips with my slightly maverick outlook. By the end of our first meeting I felt both encouraged and confident that we could work together. It soon became apparent that Nico Gomez has an empathetic approach and a natural ability to understand what makes his clients tick and a quick understanding of individual needs and preferences. This enables him to home in and focus on the key factors needing to be addressed. He is able to delve into grey areas and draw out more precisely what his client really thinks and aims for. He is not influenced by what he might he have done yesterday for Client X which might be applied to Client Y -on the contrary he works very hard to ensure that his advise is tailor-made to fit whomever is sitting in front of him. I found his advice and guidance invaluable and, as important, he is a problem solver. From beginning to end he took me through every aspect of our financial affairs and consulted me on all points as to what I favoured and what he felt might be the most appropriate. In short the service he provides is truly bespoke and now he is a fixture in my life!

An outstanding professional with a keen eye for detail who spends considerable time understanding the long-term aim and requirements for financial planning. Nico always looks at all the options and expends considerable effort in identifying the optimum mix of investments based on the required outcome. Nico has a very broad minded and proactive approach to looking after my pension and my savings and general investments. He has a good knowledge of the markets and of the regulatory rules that control the investment and pension maze . He always responds promptly to any queries I may have and we meet regularly to review current situations.

What could they have done better?

He perhaps needs to delegate more office work so he has more time for strategic thinking but since I have known him that I believe has improved.

Having worked in the Financial Services industry for nearly 38 years,I have worked with and sold to hundreds of Independent Financial Advisers .The fact that I have chosen Nico and trust him with my affairs and my whole family's affairs is a huge testimony in itself.He is easy to talk to,communicates clearly,has great technical knowledge,exudes empathy and fully understands all his client 's needs.He is a credit to the industry.

What could they have done better?

Considering my knowledge in this market,Nico is not out purely for self financial gain as the clients come first and foremost.In my opinion he could easily increase his fees for the service he offers.

Nico has a very personable nature which has enabled him to gain a very good understanding of our financial situation. Accordingly he has been able to structure our investments to deliver our financial goals. In this context we have benefited from a well balanced portfolio that has delivered acceptable growth and income. The regular review meetings are well structured, informative, and helpful, enabling us to understand which investment options are most suitable at any given time.

What could they have done better?

It would be good to see some of the third party investment providers working with Nico responding quicker to the markets to ensure better client protection.
