What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I required a mortgage for my first home, I also required building and contents insurance and life insurance.

How has Paul Veitch helped you?

He advised me on the correct mortgage to get, I realised that I could get a normal mortgage instead of a help to buy which will financially benefit myself in the long term.

Yes, I am now in my house and very happy.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Needed new life cover plus advice on equity release for lifetime mortgage as current mortgage provision had come to end of term.

How has Paul Veitch helped you?

He provided excellent, detailed personal advice. He examined all relevant options and made sure we understood what these involved. He advised us in a friendly and courteous manner making sure we were comfortable with the options on the table. He also talked us through all the relevant policy and offer details and gave us every opportunity to ask relevant questions and seek explanations.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Insurance cover is all in place and we are very happy with it. We await the outcome of the equity release scenario which was delayed through no fault of Paul's. He continues to monitor the situation on our behalf and has been of great support all the way.

I was initially looking just for pension advice and Paul certainly knows his business on this subject. As it turns out Paul may also be able to advise me regarding a mortgage enquiry. I am now in the process of setting up an account with Paul to give me ongoing financial advice. Paul is a very friendly and approachable person and I would recommend his services to anyone.

I contacted Paul via VouchedFor and never heard back. I sent him an email and he responded that day saying he would contact me in the afternoon. Four days later and I still haven't heard from him. A shame after reading the other reviews here. I have had to look elsewhere.

I was looking to combine my pensions as I reached 55 and also wanted to have some new investmnet options.

He helped me combine my pensions and has given me advice on how to invest a lump sum of this money.

My pensions have beem combined but i am yet to withdraw any money to make further investments. However, i plan to do this in the near future and will continue to use Mr Veitch's services.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was looking for a new mortgage and I wanted to get professional and impartial advice on such matters. I wanted an unbiased opinion based on experience. I do not think that DIY research is for me since I do not know all the intricacies of such contracts. The cheapest looking offer is not always what it seems as I have found out.

How has Paul Veitch helped you?

Paul is very knowledgeable in financial matters. He advised me on mortgage, house and contents and life insurance. He listened to my requests and concerns, compared my current covers and advices on the right cover for my young family's piece of mind,.

I have most definitely been satisfied with the outcome. I feel I am safe in my new home and pretty much covered for unlikely eventualities.

What could they have done better?

Paul is a very very busy man and at times he might be difficult to get hold of. He has a very busy schedule. I think it is time he employed an extra financial advisor and mentor him/her in this intricate financial minefield.

I approached Paul with queries regarding my husbands pension. My husband had moved jobs and having previously worked for a huge company we were finding it extremely difficult to find out details on my husbands pension. Having used Paul many times over the years for my mortgage and insurance needs I had no hesitation in contacting him again even though I no longer live in the area. Paul looked into everything for us and came back to us with a clear and concise assessment. As usual we received absolutely fantastic service from Paul. Paul delivers 100% every time and explains everything in terms which are easily understood. My children are about to buy their own homes now and will use Paul for all their financial dealings. So that will be two generations he's taken care of!
