The discussion with Sharon was helpful, relaxed and informative and whilst there are still some open questions before she can provide a comprehensive assessment and associated advice I would have no hesitation in using Sharon in the future.

By her own admission equity release wasn't her area of expertise, so the meeting wasn't all that fruitful

I think perhaps that John has misunderstood the conversation that we had around Equity Release advice. I had explained to him that this is not the type of business that I conduct regularly. This is due to the fact that Equity Release is not for everyone. It's really a niche market and i would have to consider the pros and cons of Equity Release very carefully on each individual case , as it's not to be entered into lightly. This is true for both the client and myself as an adviser. I am fully qualified and experienced as an Equity Release adviser , along with my other areas of expertise.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had a dormant work pension that would not give me full benefit for another 6 years but had a good transfer value which would give me greater control and an earlier date at which I could start drawing from so I needed good financial investment advice.

How has Sharon Lyon helped you?

Sharon explained all my options, risks involved, and where best to invest it. Sharon also explained all charges initial and on-going including what return I would hopefully have + the fact that my portfolio would also be managed on a monthly basis was welcome news as that is not always the case with some investments. Sharon is also very approachable and always gives a prompt return on any correspondence.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I am very pleased with the outcome after seeing my 6-monthly results and all the buy/sell transactions that were done to achieve this.

What could they have done better?

Nothing comes to mind on this one....ask me again in 4 years :-)

Change in law allowing full pension pot to be taken and invested privately...needed advice.

Very knowledgeable, worked on figures to show pros and cons, showed past data and was friendly and approachable, with flexible times for meetings. Fast turn-around when decisions made.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, all good so far. Did what was asked in much quicker time than I'd heard would be the case from other IFA.

What could they have done better?

Nope....couldn't have asked for a better service.

Following my husbands death I found that I was overwhelmed by the responsibility of looking after my finances.

Sharon listened to my proposed plans and followed through with advice that worked in with my plans and offered security for my future.

My enquiry was about the various options I had regarding my pension pot, Sharon explained, clearly and in layman`s terms, the pros and cons of each option. The information she gave me, allowed me to make a decision that I had been toiling over for some time. I found her to be professional, courteous and impartial. I would have no hesitation in contacting Sharon in the future with regards to any financial issues, nor in recommending her to any friends or relations.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I contacted Sharon approximately 3 months before my first child was due. I knew that I now had a very good reason to ensure that I was fully insured for all eventualities.

My circumstances were very complex for a multitude of reasons. Sharon went above and beyond to find the right combination of products for me. She was exceptionally thorough in helping me select the right products, even when I through in a few curve balls!.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Absolutely. I now have the cover that gives me peace of mind that my family will be provided for whatever the circumstances. I plan to be addressing my pension status with Sharon as the next task on the list!.

How has Sharon Lyon helped you?

I've consulted Sharon several times in the last few years. I was immediately struck by her calm and thorough approach and her ability to grasp the difficulties I was facing. She was able to suggest a variety of options available to recover financial stability. I have little confidence in financial dealings and am easily confused. Sharon was able to explain everything in a way I could understand. The most impressive and helpful aspect was Sharon's detailed assessment of what I was hoping to achieve. She clearly expressed the implications involved and produced a helpful comparison of the quotations obtained. The one recommended was far superior to the others and I was very pleased that she'd researched the options so thoroughly on my behalf.

I didn't have time to go and visit the various potential lenders that I had looked at online - one of the high street lenders offered me an appointment in 4 weeks time. I heard about Sharon through a friend, gave her a call and had an appointment the next day.

Sharon made the whole process of applying for a mortgage very easy. She showed me several options that would suit me and understood exactly what I wanted. Sharon kept in touch by email through every step of the process and was always quick to reply to any queries I had.
