I needed to apply for further leave to remain as I am married to a British citizen.

Marium helped me to apply for further leave to remain. She was very patient and clearly explained everything to us. She was very kind and considerate.

Yes, we are very pleased.

What could they have done better?

Accept debit cards in the future. We wanted to pay the fees by debit card and was told they don't accept them. It was inconvenient having to leave the office and go to the bank and take out the cash. We didn’t like having to walk through town with a.large sum of cash.

My experience with Marium and JMR Solicitors was excellent. Marium consistently provided excellent legal advice and gave reasoned explanations for her preferred course of action. Marium's ability to simplify complex legal issues was one of her many great talents. Marium showed great flexibility and made herself available at short notice and outside of normal office hours when required.

What could they have done better?

On the whole the service provided was excellent. There were times when I was hesitant and maybe I could have been pushed a little bit to be more decisive in my instructions.

How has Marium Razzaq helped you?

Ms Marium Razzaq acted on our behalf (as the plaintiffs in a complex case) and came across as very clued up, calm, incisive in her thinking and assessment of the facts of our case and her advice was clear, firm and extremely beneficial in achieving a successful outcome of our case. She had a clear understanding of the court processes and ensured that we were not wrong footed or "panicked" by numerous and sometimes misleading and worrying communications from the defendant's legal team. She went out of her way to meet with us outside normal office hours and to reassure us of the strength of our case and I think it would be fair to say that if we didn't have her fighting our corner, there was a very realistic chance that we might have dropped our case and been landed with the defendant's legal costs as well as our own, not to mention the rest of the consequential fallout. I would have no hesitation in using JMR's services in the future and in recommending them.

I honestly cannot think of anything because JMR and Marium were brilliant

JMR acted for a charity for which I am Trustee in a litigation case.

What could they have done better?

JMR conducted themselves extremely professionally. The decision to engage the barrister was a balancing act between containing costs and timely advice. With hindsight we, as the client should have requested a barrister's involvement prior to the first court date. At the time we were given the option by JMR but we declined it to save costs for the charity.
