How has Nick Heys helped you?

Nick has been really helpful, especially as we are approaching our retirement. His professional and enthusiastic approach has guided us through to making important decisions regarding our pension and ISA investments. His painstaking explanations of what we have always thought a complex matter has given us a lot more confidence in the lead up to our retirement and we both feel that we are dealing with an honest and trustworthy man.

What could they have done better?

We haven't come across any negative points regarding Nick and would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

Nick listens to my concerns and addresses them. He explains things clearly and I feel confident to take his advice. He's even taken the trouble to check one or two issues for me when I purchased a house last year.

What could they have done better?

I can't honestly think of anything in particular. (I would also like to thank Emma Proctor, who has responded in Nick's absence and helped with other matters.)

Nick has excellent attention to detail and is highly particular. This complements his highly organised and efficient approach to his work and makes me feel confident in his abilities and knowledge. His regular communication ensures I am never left in the dark and I also appreciate his desire to make a decision having carefully weighed up the options rather than spend time dwelling and reworking. I have known Nick a number of years both professionally and personally and hope to do so for many years to come.

Infrequently Nick can deliver information a little too quickly but is always available to fill in the gaps following a meeting.

In a word (or two) I would say Nick is honest, has a high work ethic and is rigious with his attention to detail. He has a broad understanding of Financial matters but also has the rigour to deal with the detail. It's the blend of these two qualities along with his openess and integrity that make him a trustworthy IFA.

I can't think of any (although I'd like to) and have no issues in recommending him.

Andy dealt with me personally but all the staff including Nick have been great. What I liked was the confidence Freedom gives you that in fact I could spend some of my money, I hadn't expected that! So far after two years I have been delighted with the return on my investments... can spend a bit more now.

What could they have done better?

Learn how to operate the software! Good job Nick was around.

Nick has managed my ISA and pensions investments now for at least the last three years, and has been a significant factor in transforming what was an adequate service into what I now consider a first class service. The other factor being the tools that his company has put at Nick's disposal. Nick is a very personable young man, and I actually enjoy my annual reviews, and the phone conversations in between. He is well qualified, conscientous and highly motivated to provide all the information and reports that I need to make decisions. I sleep well at nights knowing that my hard earned savings are being well looked after.

Nick is a good listener and has an excellent memory for details, reinforcing one's confidence that his advice is personally tailored to each individual's circumstances. He has taken on board my aspirations and preferences to produce a life plan which has set my mind at rest as far as my future security is concerned. Nick is extremely good at explaining complicated things in simple language. He has endless patience and we always come away from meetings fully understanding what we have talked about. He never gives the impression of being in a hurry to get to his next client and always gives you the time you need. Nick is also extremely efficient at responding to queries emailed to him. He works extremely well with the staff who support him in managing our finances. I would have absolutely no doubt about recommending him to anyone.

What could they have done better?

I cannot think of anything at all at the moment, other than to remove the tempting chocolate and biscuits from the table when we turn up for meetings!

Clear concise explanation and advice - uses relevant audio-visual aids to help understand financial concepts. Very friendly and pleasant personality. Some advisers I have dealt with in the past insist on giving too much and too complex explanations so I just 'switch off' - Nick never does this. He always responds promptly to any queries (eg by email). His minutes of meetings are accurate and easy to understand and he highlights important points for action. I feel I can trust his advice.

I can not think of any improvements.

Nick is in regular contact and will always take time and patiently explain any issues we do not totally understand. He is concerned that we get the advice which is right for us and we feel confident and secure in the service he and Freedom provide. Obviously 'trust' is the keyword and we trust Nick to ensure that everything that can be done in our best interests is put before us with all the guidance that is needed for us to make the right choices. He is always bright, cheerful, well dressed, well informed answering questions straightforwardly and always appears to enjoy his work.

What could they have done better?

A difficult one not having experienced time with another adviser. He cares about the service he provides, is always available by phone/email and will email if he is not in the office. He is obviously a'team' player as our contacts do involve other employees at Freedom which also helps us to feel secure. He has certainly grown into the role over the last 5 years improving his delivery of the annual financial planning meeting for my wife and I so he has taken suggestions during this period of time and I'm sure he will continue to evolve as a adviser. We get all the help we need.
