We met Mark and his team in their office in Hadleigh a number of times; to organise and sort out my employment pensions. Something we kept meaning to do but it seemed such an ordeal and we never got around to it.

My wife and I were really impressed with Marks knowledge of pensions and how they work. But also the considered way he took the time to explain everything in a language we understood. We were kept up to date during the whole process of moving the monies all together and investing them for the future.

At last we had all the information we required ( and understood it ) to make an informed choice and to be honest it was a load off our minds. We now feel very relaxed and confident in the knowledge that Thompson Financial Consulting Ltd have everything in place for us for now and in the future and we can just get on with our retirement. Mark and his team are effective and efficient, polite and downright good at their job. I would whole heartedly recommend them to all. They even make excellent coffee!

Initially, I needed Mark's advice in dealing with existing pensions in the context of a divorce financial consent order. Subsequently, Mark advised and then setup a new pension which is funded by my small limited company.

Mark's advice at the time of trying to finalise my consent order was invaluable and helped to open my eyes to the options available and what would be considered a fair sharing of the existing pension scheme. More recently, Mark has helped me in the quest to setup a brand new pension - this will help reduce my company's corporation tax bill as well as giving me valuable additional flexible pension options in later life.

Yes - I now have a decent additional pension which has the flexibility and value that I had been looking for. I only wish I'd set this up a few years ago! Although I feel pretty confident when dealing with financial matters, there's no doubting the value that a knowledgeable IFA can bring, especially with the complexities of pension planning.

Original PFA decided the day before I left full-time work that he no longer would advise me. Introduced to a friend of his but I "asked around" and saw 2 others. Mark Thompson was recommended and we met informally before commitment.

My previous advisor set up a pension and some endowment policy's and life insurance for me but it was all so over complicated I really didn't know what was going on.

Mark sorted every thing out for me. Stripped away policy's I didn't need , sorted out endowments which weren't performing and re-invested in my pension.

We approached Mark for financial advice after having changed jobs and had various monies in different employer schemes. Saving towards a pension was a priority.

I needed a comprehensive view of my pension schemes and a discussion related to consolidation of a number of legacy schemes.

How has Mark Thompson helped you?

Mark provided solid guidance and advice and also advised on engaging a third party to discuss a final salary scheme. I felt that Mark listened to my opinions and my future investment and retirement strategy throughout. The consolidation of my schemes has left me in a far better position to prepare for my retirement and has ensured my schemes are in the most appropriate structure to take future advantage of pension liberalisation. and freedom rules. I met many IFAs before selecting Thompson Financial only to find that they are not in fact independant. Importantly for me Mark is truly independent and clearly explained his fee strctures. At no point with Mark have I felt steered towards products or services that would maximise revenue for the IFA over providing for my own needs.

Mark looked in depth at my current pensions in detail and he confirmed that I would benefit from placing all pensions into one pot that will work harder for me than the current ones. We also discussed my whole financial situation so he could understand where I need to be at pensionable age, this discussion was fully appreciated because you do not always look that far forward.
