Vinny has helped me most recently by looking at my current situation and finding better options for me regarding investments and pensions. He has just consolodated everthing which will make it much easier for me to keep track and he helped me to choose investment opportunities in line with my wish to invest ethically. He is extremely knowledgeable and gives clear and succinct explainations with plenty of opportunity for questions. He is also very friendly and approachable and I would happily recommend him with full confidence.

I felt I needed advice for the best way to manage investments and savings especially long term planning. Also as I'm especially interested in ethical investments I felt I would benefit from advice from someone experienced in that particular area.

He is very affable, and easy to deal with and gave sound advice on the best direction to take with regard to my own situation, and made the process as easy and straight forward as possible.

Professional advice on the best way to financially prepare for the future when either 1 or both of us aren't working full time.

Made sure pension investments matched our needs. Vinny keeps us well informed on the various steps involved with our pension investment and provides timescales in the future as to when and how those steps need to change. This will ensure we get the most out of our investment for the years we will have put into our pension plans.

So far, all looks good. Our investments are making the good returns based on the level of risk we are comfortable with. The financial advice given to date has performed well.

Not much really and to be honest, the global pandemic has restricted the face-to-face review sessions which are important for the client/advisor relationship building.

A substantial inheritance from my late Father and having just retired I needed advice on how to best invest the money for growth and to provide me with an income.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Mu husband and I had accumulated a number of company pensions over the years and we required advise on value of the pensions and whether it would be beneficial to consolidate and make our pension portfolio easier to manage. We also wanted to ensure that we were preparing the best we can for our retirement.

How has Vinny Lall helped you?

Vinny has a very personable approach and easily builds rapport with his clients. He was happy to fit his visits to our home into our busy schedules and family life. On his first visit he took time out to understand our needs and understand what success looked like for us. As pension novices he helped us understand the various policies we had, how they could best work for us and what level of risk we were prepared to take with investment. Vinny took the time-consuming groundwork of contacting each pension provider away from us (although some providers were more forthcoming than others so this process still took considerable time, not aided by the fact we had recently married and some policies required a surname change for myself). Once he had all the facts came back to us with a proposal with clear reasons why this was the best way forward which for us was to amalgamate some pensions but not all.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

We are very happy with the recommendations we received from Vinny and were happy to take his advise and guidance. I feel confident we now have a solution that works for us to manage out pensions portfolio going forward and a clearer picture of what our pensions will provide us in our retirement, also what we can do to enhance this fund. I have peace of mind that Vinny has committed to an annual review of our pension performance which allows us to make any required adjustments, and that should our circumstances change we can contact him at any time to discuss.

What could they have done better?

Vinny's customer service is excellent, the only suggestion I would make is that as our pension providers were slow to respond the communication following the first visit felt slow and would have been useful to have had an monthly progress update.

Vinny obtained a pension projection from my current provider and then compared it to the rest of the market. He then gave me advice based on his findings. His explanations and advice were very clear and he took time to make sure I understood everything. He has managed to find me a better plan and with lower running costs.

During my first meeting with Vinny he came across very open & honest. This instantly put me at ease as there was no pressure to make any decisions but just a clear description of what he does & what he could offer. Upon our second meeting his approach was just the same, he came back with more detailed information relating to my own existing pension funds and potential forecasts but again no pressure to decide there and then what to do, just helpful advice. This approach helped me to decide to use Vinny as my financial advisor. His communication has all been good and he does keep me informed of progress regularly.
