How has Jeremy Finch helped you?

Jeremy is extremely knowledgeable on all financial aspects and is very good at explaining things in layman's terms to ensure full understanding of all implications. He is very easy to talk to and get along with and follows up promptly on queries and updates. He is very professional and only offers products and services that meet your requirements and risk levels and does not embark on any 'hard sell' at all. Despite having moved abroad we are still in regular contact and even do our review meetings over Skype. He is a genuinely nice guy!

We have known Jez for many years, and are very happy with all he has discussed and arranged regarding our finances. We are happy to recommend his talents and personal caring to others. Indeed he is now adviser to ourselves, mother, son and daughter-in-law, and a number of close friends ! We are still very "lay person" in financial terms, but Jez explains everything very clearly, and willingly discusses all aspects of our needs and "fears", never pushes anything for the sake of a sale, and arranges everything fully, including retaining all our information and ensuring we receive regular updates. We hope he will be assistng us and many others for years to come.

Takes the time to review our overall financial situation and explains clearly the implications of different actions so that it is easier to make the right choice for changing circumstances. Well over 25 years ago for example advising us on the need for 'Critical Illness/Death cover' for protection re mortgage payments, referring us to this policy when illness did occur much later on ; guidance on retirement pensions etc. Very good knowledge of positive investments that have brought good returns, always explained in a clear way. Very pleasant approach that is appreciated rather than a hard sell.

I have used Jeremy (Jez) for around 10 years now. He was previously IFA to my parents and they wholeheartedly recommended that I should sign with him also. After the service and advice I have received since I now share that viewpoint and cannot recommend him highly enough. He has advised myself for pensions and investments initially, and more recently has placed my wife and I with an excellent mortgage, and aligned that with life, critical illness and income protection cover for us both. All plans and products have been reviewed thoroughly at renewal and Jez has taken time to visit us to explain any changes he is recommending in full. His knowledge of the products he is working with and attention to personal circumstances inspire confidence in the advice he is providing. Outside of renewals and new product meetings, Jez responds to queries by phone, email and text quickly and will arrange a convenient meeting if there is anything that cannot be done in full by those channels.

What could they have done better?

The only thing that has ever gone array during our dealings with Jez was that some supporting documentation sent with our mortgage application was lost / stolen whilst in possession of Royal Mail, after Jez had posted it back to us. It had been sent by Recorded Delivery but not Insured Delivery so, the cost of replacing the lost items had to be footed by ourselves. I obviously don't hold Jez responsible for the questionable activities of the Royal Mail staff who handled that parcel, but to try and make sure it didn't happen in future he has since sent parcels by insured delivery as he was so sorry that this had happened with a package he had sent.

He provides extremely helpful, carefully considered financial advice, ensuring that he knows exactly what his client wants and makes sure that is at the heart of what he suggests. Jez has the ability to empathize completely with you as a client, goes all out to understand your financial needs and concerns ,both current and future and applies this understanding to provide you with advice, which , I am confident he would apply to his own finances in the same circumstances. He inspires confidence and trust ,works diligently and efficiently and does so in the most congenial manner. My wife and I retired in the last 12 months (December 2013) and in no small part put our financially contented situation down to Jez's commitment over the years since I became his client (and friend)

I cannot identify any area where jez could improve. Over the years there cannot have been more than a couple of occasions when he has not had an immediate answer to a question posed to him, and then he has established the facts and responded post haste.

I basically ask Jeremy to search for the best deal to suit my needs. He would then come back to me usually the next day with the information he has accumulated. He would then go through all the options and allow me to decide which one I wanted to pursue. He would assist me to come to the final decision. Jeremy then would complete all the application and deal with any questions that the mortgage company may have. I would recommend him to anyone, a very genuine and sincere adviser. He cant do enough to help in any way he can.

I struggle to find any thing that Jez could do better. The only possible thing from my point of view is that I would like to review my investments more often. But that is not always possible with my busy schedule.
