He never got back to me at all. Very disappointing. I think it was because the business I would be able to put his way would not be worth that much to him...

Not at all good because he has never bothered to contact me. Someone from his office said he would contact me 'within 24 hours'. This was several weeks ago. I am still waiting. How discourteous.

I have no financial expertise and only subjective interest. Charles explained the investment options for my limited savings, clearly and concisely with plenty of time tor me to ask questions then or at a later date.

What could they have done better?

I have very limited experience of financial advice, am very happy with this service and have nothing to suggest.

How has Charles Scholefield helped you?

Charles is exceptionally good at listening and understanding his clients needs, goals and approach to investments. He will put forward a realistic range of products that closely match the stated requirements and clearly explain the charges/risks for each of them. He will then allow the customer to make a final decision. Also, if like me, you scrutinise all legal documentation for a product, you will find that Charles quickly addresses any questions/issues that may arise and, where necessary, proactively contact the provider to obtain any additional information required. He is flexible, reliable and focused on the needs of his customers. He has certainly provided the efficient professional support I required for long/medium term financial planning.

Charles has excellent inter personal skills, especially he is an excellent listener. He is clear in offerring his advice on investments having first clarified our aims and objectives for the the coming year and for the medium to long term, and clarified our appetitie for risk. Charles understands the nature of a wide range of investment opportunities and the attributes of the investments which he chooses to recommend. He also understands the tax implications of his recommendations.

What could they have done better?

Chrarles's understanding of the market is good, but not 'prophetic'. He did not anticipate the events of 2007/08 any more than others did. He did however know how to protect our investments from permanent damage, for which we are grateful.

Charles Scholefield listened to me and helped me to be clear about my goals and risk taking. There was no mystery about the pros and cons of each option he presented, transparent about the charges both his own and those of the various platforms I chose. Finance has never been my strong suite. Having recently lost my husband did nothing to clarify my thinking! Charles made everything clear and arranged meetings at a location of my choice, responded within the day to emails and phone calls, sent me a very clear account of my investments. (The investment paperwork from the funds was not too user friendly!) I am extremely satisfied with his handling of the process in every way. ! am now confident that I have a level of security for the future which before was very hazy!.

What could they have done better?

At the moment I have no suggestions for improving the service.

Clear and regular communication in terms and language that I understand. Charles is also very approachable and grounded and does not make you feel stupid simply because you don't understand the complexities of the Financial World today. He makes have confidence in his own integrity without being arrogant or overbearing.

What could they have done better?

I appreciate that constructive criticism is always of use but this is difficult - not least because I have a limited experience ...however possibly the occasional 'round robin' ...The Financial situation from a Scholefield point of view ...if indeed he is allowed to do this ?

Charles is very well informed and up-to-date with my personal circumstances and financial situation plus needs. He chooses investments suitable for me in terms of financial outcomes and my risk profile. I am not an expert and so he is very patient, explains everything clearly with diagrams, graphs and charts on paper and on his iPad. He responds to my requests at once and is happy to advise by email. We meet once a year for a full review and he is always punctual, well prepared and caring. He is a clever and delightful person, with a really down-to-earth approach, a sense of humour and is very well informed approach.

What could they have done better?

I am fully satisfied with his performance.

I have known Charles Scholefield for a number of years. It was the best recommendation I have ever had. Charles rescued me (and my finances) from a very poor investment port folio and turned it completely around. Over the years, my savings and investments has proved very profitable solely due to Charles' knowledge on where to place the funds. Even when the stockmarket took a turn for the worse I managed to stay in profit.
