We recently used Chris to advise us on our first mortgage. We were naturally very inexperienced and with some of the other professionals we used we felt stupid asking certain questions, but Chris was extremely helpful and patient and made us feel at ease to ask anything we didn't fully understand. He set out a number of options for us and we always felt comfortable that we were making our own decisions, but the guidance and advice he gave us were absolutely key to this process, without us ever feeling under pressure. We are very happy with the deal on the mortgage, and everything went through very quickly and smoothly. We had been offered an incentive to complete on the house before the end of the financial year and Chris made sure everything was set up in plenty of time to allow this, even though that meant he was working on a very tight time scale. I would recommend Chris to anyone who needs mortgage advice, and we will certainly be using him again in the future if we remortgage or move house.

My wife and I have used Chis to broker our two home-owner mortgages to date, in 2007 then again in 2014. On both deals we were very impressed with the quality of Chris's service, his product knowledge and the way he structured his advice to perfectly fit our needs. In particular, for our latest house purchase in August 2014 when we needed to act very quickly Chris was able to deliver to our aggressive time-scale with a perfectly tailored deal to meet out complex requirements. We think Chris represents fantastic value for money.

Christopher was extremely helpful in finding the best mortgage for our first house. His advice was tailor made to our situation and preferences, and he gave us a variety of options which allowed us to make an informed choice that was best suited to us. His communication was first class, with polite, professional and prompt telephone call and emails at every turn. He listened to our requests and handled all applications/contact with the lenders expertly. This was an amazing relief as it significantly reduced the stress on our side, allowing us to arrange all the other matters at hand which arise when buying a new house. I would definitely recommend Christopher to friends and family, and indeed anyone seeking impartial and independent financial advice. We will certainly be keeping in touch and hope to be able to utilise his services again at the next important juncture of our lives.

I employed Chris to source out the right mortgage solution for me last year. We went through the plans and he kept me informed of the market changes during the process. He has an in-depth expert knowledge of the London & UK market. He dealt with my demanding estate agents and delivered the best solution possible under a lot of time pressure. I can highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to get a mortgage /re-mortgage. He is very thorough, honest and explained complex information in a “normal language “ for me to understand. And all this with a great sense of humour! Highly recommend him.

Over the past ten or fifteen years, I've had advice from Chris for many different mortgage products. I've always been able to explain to him what I've been trying to do, whether it's buy to let or personal mortgage - he listens well, knows what I need and researches out the best possible product. He ALWAYS rings back when he says he will, which is a huge advantage. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone looking for a mortgage, and I would never go anywhere else. I trust his advice, and when I need other aspects of financial planning in the future, he's the man I'll call.

What could they have done better?

Perhaps tell people that he's a financial planner too.... I didn't know

How has Christopher Taylor helped you?

Chris Taylor has helped me in arranging several mortgages over the last ten years and has provided consistently reliable, honest, and efficient assistance. His services have proved to be excellent value-for-money in obtaining the best available deal. Not only has he succeeded in reducing my total mortgage cost compared to what I was able to find myself, but he has always put my interests first. For example, on at least one occasion rather than broker a replacement product he has advised me that I would be better to transfer my existing mortgage myself.

What could they have done better?

Chris Taylor is understandably very busy and, although he always responds to messages in a reasonable time, I think that he would benefit from secretarial support.

Chris is a responsive communicator who explains all the financial complexities of mortgages very clearly. He took the time to understand what our requirements were for a new mortgage and sought out an excellent deal which has allowed us to buy our amazing new home. In what can be a very stressful time, Chris kept us informed and up to date. Would not hesitate to recommend him (and in fact, already have!).

Chris did a great job in setting up a very complex mortgage application due to my location overseas. After searching for quite a while to find someone who was able and willing to arrange a mortgage for me due to my location overseas, he did a great job in getting the job done whilst managing to jump through many complex hoops along the way. A great job and highly recommended.

It sounds cheesy, but nothing really. The mortgage application was very complex and Chris did a job.
