Before I met Harriet and her team I was impressed by their empathy and 'can do' attitude without being 'pushy'. Having met Harriet and admin guru Renee I knew I was in safe and very capable sensible hands. The advice I was given was clear and certainly bespoke for my needs and it was evident that Harriet had listened and was totally on the ball with update to date with trends and best practice for the complex financial sector industry. I will be seeing Harriet and the team in the New Year to advise my teenage daughter so she can start her financial planning. Listens carefully to our circumstances and tailors advice accordingly. Able, and willing, to respond very quickly when necessary. To the best of our knowledge, advice has been excellent. Advice has certainly always been clear, transparent, explaining pros and cons. For example, took s through a careful justification on the basis of anticipated market performance of fees for advice relative to cheaper products that might be expected to perform less well.

What could they have done better?

This is really difficult because we haven't identified any 'failings'. One of us can't remember back to pre-Harriet days, the other has only ever experienced one previous FA who was not as good.

Harriet Skinner has been extremely kind and helpful to me, and I have great faith in her competence. I first contacted her in 1990 when I decided to do something about my pension (I was 50) and she has helped me, and also other members of my family, ever since with this and my investments. I believe she has done very well for me.

What could they have done better?

She could possibly help me more with my tax returns, which I find bewildering, though I know this is probably not her job!

Harriet manages to convey to me, in simple layman's terms, so that I understand, how best to invest my money and how to manage and protect my pensions for my future. She always listens to my requirements and takes on board my concerns and needs and then clearly explains the process we need to action to try and make my wishes happen. Her in depth knowledge has to date, protected my "small" fund and helped it to grow which will provide for my future.

What could they have done better?

Because I have had no reason to complain, or no reason to not trust her advice, I cannot really think of anything I would rather see improved.

Our adviser is excellent at helping me to make equity investments that are appropriate to my financial environment in terms of my other savings and my Business activities. She takes time to check for any significant changes in our domestic life or saving plans while showing a real and friendly interest in the way our lives are progressing. Harriet is good at discussing my investment plans with the more conventional approach that the IFA would recommend and makes sure that I am aware of any problems that, as an amateur, I may be unaware of. Every appointment to see Harriet is a pleasure that my wife and I look forward to.
