We were so helped by Vanessa, she made everything to do our finances easier and straight forward for us. Vanessa was very warm and approachable as well as being right on the ball with her knowledge and experience. She took time to make sure she understood the situation that my elderly father was in, including asking for information to be collated and sent to her in advance. She summarized his needs and desires very accurately and explained extremely clearly her advice on how he could best proceed to achieve his financial goals (including not signing up with her for a managed investment portfolio). This was all provided free of charge as an initial consultation meeting. As an ex-banker my father could not recommend Vanessa highly enough!

She suggested various investment platforms that would be suitable for us, listened to our concerns and took it all on board as we were only interested in ethical investment but wanted to try and achieve good growth on our money. We analysed our annual income/ expenditure and discussed long and short term goals. She approached things in a friendly and easy way that made everything very accessible and not at all intimidating for first timers like ourselves. She has always taken a personal interest in our financial journey and this makes all our meetings with her a real pleasure.

Initially our investment did not perform that well, but luckily we did not need to draw any funds from it. However, in the last twelve months much to our delight and surprise, it has really picked up and is now exceeding our initial expectations.

We cannot think of any shortcomings on Vanessa’s part. She was always very clear with us about the risks associated with investments, always seemed knowledgeable and informed about our portfolio, and as this is our only experience of consulting a financial adviser it is hard to know what she could have done better. She did exactly what I asked and I was impressed by how rigorous she was - challenging me on specific figures and picking up on several assumptions that I needed to verify. Almost a year and a half ago I went to Vanessa with what I thought was an impossible task, "Sort my life out" I said to her. Vanessa waved her magic wand and came up trumps for me with regard to pensions, investments, mortgage advice, insurances and also recently sorting my will. How has Vanessa Taylor helped you?

I did a lot of research before arranging meetings with several advisers but it was my initial meeting with Vanessa that convinced me that she was the one I wanted to work with me. On meeting her for the first time I immediately felt comfortable, she was very thorough and made sure she gathered all the information required to enable her to understand my circumstances and provide advice. I was also told clearly exactly how much her services would cost and have also been made aware of all the ongoing costs involved. Since taking the decision to work with her she has kept me updated, and I am delighted with the first stage of her recommendations, as they clearly follow the strategy I had outlined to her. We still have some things that need to be sorted but I am delighted that my initial gut feeling has paid dividends and I am looking for forward to working with Vanessa for many years to come.

Having been a client of Vanessa's for 10 years, nine with a high street bank and the last one as a independent financial adviser proves the high regard my wife and I have for her professionalism. We find her very friendly and easy to talk to and explain our future plans and the investment risks we feel comfortable with. Her knowledge and understanding of the products she recommends gives us complete confidence in our investments. Along with our 6 monthly review we also are provided with the luxury of online access to our portfolio so we can study it in the comfort of our own home.

How has Vanessa Taylor helped you?

I was a bit of a cynic when it came to financial advisors after having a few bad experiences, but I have to say that Vanessa's professional attitude, evident knowledge, and attention to detail has totally restored my faith. This is now based upon 4 years of regular good service, where Vanessa has consistently provided very satisfactory financial products and advice. Her best feature is her personal attention to really understand what my needs were, and then to support of my decisions. I have found some financial advisors to be pushy and dismissive in the past but Vanessa gave special attention to make sure I understood all the important aspects, and to make sure I was happy with what I products I was accepting.
