Chartered Financial Planner qualification
The Chartered Financial Planner qualification is one of the leading qualifications available to financial planners. It is administered by the Personal Finance Society.
The holder must pass the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning exams, which goes beyond the benchmark exam standards and enables professional advisers to develop their specialist planning capabilities
To be eligible for the qualification, an adviser must have met the Financial Conduct Authority's minimum qualification standards, adhere to the Chartered Insurance Institute Code of Ethics, and have at least five years' relevant industry experience.

Certified Financial Planner qualification
The Certified Financial Planner qualification is one of the leading qualifications available to financial planners. It is administered by the Institute of Financial Planning.
The qualification tests an adviser's technical ability, and assesses how well they can apply this knowledge to produce an effective financial plan.
To be eligible for the qualification, an adviser must have already met the Financial Conduct Authority's minimum qualification standards, and have at least one year's supervised or three years' unsupervised experience within Financial Planning
