What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed advice on my pension funds. I had had advice from a different adviser which was expensive but I didn’t take that up as it didn’t feel right for me.

How has Andrew Brooks helped you?

Andy listened carefully to what I want to achieve for my retirement. This is the most important financial decision I have to make and will determine the retirement I can have. His advice supported exactly what I want and introduced ideas I hadn’t thought of. His explanations were clear and recommendations all made sense. Everything he and his team said would happen did and exactly when they said it would from every contact, phone call, email and letter. I was never left wondering or waiting, I feel confident in the advice I have received and the ongoing service I have. Great value and no more sleepless nights, which is priceless to me.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

After years of worrying about my pension I am now comfortable and confident and feel both in control and supported in managing my pension going forward which is exactly the outcome I wanted.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Some years ago I realised that my pensions and investments were a complete mess and required a complete overhaul. I also realised that to maximise my funds I needed professional input. My research led me to Andrew Brooks

Andy took time to understand my goals and requirements. After his research he explained his plan for my finances clearly and simply, and how he expected we would be able to move forward together

My finances have have now been completely restructured and are growing at a rate that impresses me

Andy has hit the perfect balance for me, and I wouldn't change anything

I was unhappy with the passive approach from my last advisor. They really were an offshoot of the accountants i use.

How has Andrew Brooks helped you?

He did meet with me and talked through what I had in terms of Savings/Pension. Moved the investment within both my wrap accounts and Pension.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

So far, So good. I'm aware investments go up and down, but since since COVID I am around level.

What could they have done better?

I've been with Andy since May 21, for now I can't see anything that could be better.

Thank you for the review Stephen, I am away in Cornwall but checking the emails as usual. We are seeing a settlement of the pervious growth and the threat of interest rate rises could unsettle the UK market further. I am confident we have the right managers to deal with and hopefully take advantage of this situation. we have been negative on Gilts for a while especially for this expected event. As you say the markets have taken back but that's the nature of the markets. we are meeting with the portfolio managers every 12 weeks and communicating in-between so we feel we are best placed for this market turbulence which actually was quite predictable. As you know my capital is invested next to my clients and I feel confident. for all of us the next 2 years will be interesting I am sure. But turbulence and short term volatility tends to make us money over the medium to longer term. Also thank you again for the personal referral it is appreciated. Thank you Andy

So far excellent results from review of my personal income and business expenses. Early days to assess impact of pension plan but no concerns.

No area could be improved. The only downside is lack of adequate parking!

Many years ago I realised I needed help with my finances as I had pensions scattered around, not working very hard. My savings and investments also needed a makeover.

Age. Cancer. A wish to simplify my financial affairs, particularly IHT and maintaining sufficient income for my needs now and in the future.
