I contacted Matt after not getting very far with a previous mortgage advisor due to my situation being a little complex. Matt has advised us twice now on renegotiating our mortgage. He’s very friend and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. He’s also great at taking into account our preferences to make a good recommendation which has saved us hundreds of pounds over the span of our deal. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

As first time buyers nearly 6 years ago, we felt lost in a very confusing and overwhelming property market. We were totally new to the mortgage world and subsequently had a lot of questions! We needed that extra guidance to help us have the confidence that we were purchasing the right property for our budget, as well as getting an excellent deal on our mortgage, tailored to our circumstances. We came across Matt through searching and reading lots of reviews on different mortgage advisors and we've never looked back.

Matt helped us to realise our budget for our first home and secured us a good mortgage rate with only a 5% deposit, something we hadn't thought possible. Matt has subsequently helped us to consider the benefits of life insurance and guided us through this application. Matt was a delight to work with! He was able to explain my re-mortgage options fully and clearly and found me a great 5-year fixed deal that would reduce my term length as I’d requested. He handled the process from start to finish very efficiently and was always friendly and very helpful. He kept me in the loop and always communicated well and promptly. Will absolutely use him in the future as will my daughter who recommended him.

Yes I have. Consolidated a loan and mortgage with new lender. Managed to knock 15 months off term and payments fixed for 5 years. I’m able to pay off up to 10% of outstanding amount fee free as well.

He then gave us an estimate on the amount of money we could potentially borrow (which turned out to be accurate). My mortgage application was very complex and came with many different and sometimes difficult hurdles which Matt talked me through and helped me to sort out. I work away from home so most of our contact was via e-mail, text message and phone calls. Matt was brilliant in this regard as I sometimes miss e-mails and he would send me a text to remind me. He made himself available as often as he could to help. Matt was happy to meet halfway on a weekend when we needed to as he was about an hour away from me. How has Matthew Nickson helped you?

If you're ever in need of any financial advise and would like to feel that you have someone in your corner who fully understands your position and meticulously processes all areas of detail in an unprecedented manner then I can truly vouch for and recommend Mr Nickson. Matthew helped me with two property purchases recently and whilst each purchase wasn't the simplest of transactions due to manny reasons Matthew fully understood the task and challenges and guided both contracts through every stage with control and in areas with ease. Matthew even took responsibility and pushed both projects through to completion and dealt directly with with the solicitors and lenders on my behalf. At all stages of the process I felt as though Matthew was in full control, which left me to deal with my business.

What could they have done better?

Mt Nickson service from start to finish was impeccable, I have high standards and even from my point of view I don't think I could have asked for any thing more. On a human level a great guy as well.

Matt helped me through applying for a mortgage. As a first time buyer I needed a lot of advice on the best mortgage to suit. Matt was really friendly and informative in helping me to decide so that I made the best choice. Once an offer had been accepted on the property I wanted, Matt did all the corresponding between the estate agents and solicitors for me but kept me up to date regularly which made the whole process very easy and not stressful at all. Matt put in a lot of time and effort into everything and is extremely good value for money.

Myself and my partner were first time buyers and choosing Matt was the best decision we ever made! Matt completely took the stress out of buying our first home. He puts so much hard work into what he does and he is always there if you have any worries or concerns. We first came across Matthew Nickson online when we were looking for mortgages for the older person. Having discussed our requirements and all the options available with Matthew, we decided to go down the Equity Release route which reflected our personal circumstances. The Equity Release Mortgage application was very involved. He communicated with us on almost a daily basis and I would rate his customer support skills as first class. With Matthews help we were confident that we would have a successful outcome. Once the Equity Release Mortgage had been resolved I asked Matthew to review our life cover insurance to see if we could get a better deal than our current insurance provider at that time. Once again he presented all the options available for our needs and explained everything in a clear and concise manner. On his advice we changed our life cover provider and achieved a considerable monthly saving as well as greatly extending the period of life cover. I will certainly recommend Matthew to my family and friends without any hesitation. .

Mathew Nickson has helped me greatly over the last 10 years moving house. As a complete novice in this area I can honestly say that I would never have coped with out his help and constant support.
