What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

To tidy up our financial investments.

We had a home visit in the evening to fit in with my work. He ran through and discussed various options to tidy things up.

How has David Schofield-Newton helped you?

Having found David on a local website, I was looking for someone to help me with my private retirement pensions, it was not as straight forward as I believed it to be, David was a good listener and kept me inform at all times he was also readily available at the end of a phone or e-mail for any question I needed answering. After sorting out my pensions I needed advise on Investments and savings again David went that extra mile with good clear advise, which allowed me to make my own decision as which way to invest.

What could they have done better?

Because one of the pensions was a finale salary, we had to involve a 3rd party because David did not have the necessary qualification.

David keeps a close eye on investment performance and advises us when he sees better opportunities for us. He gives comprehensive advice but leaves the decision to us. Where he felt he didn't have sufficient detailed knowledge of the pros and cons of transferring final salary pension schemes, he recommended an expert and stayed with us during the meetings to assist with his knowledge of our finances.

What could they have done better?

David does not provide us with regular updates of our investments but this is probably because he is well aware of our own financial knowledge and frequent use of the online platform.

If we contact him with a query he always communicates quickly and doesn't keep us waiting too long for answers. We trust him and never hesitate to recommend his services to family and colleagues. He's always flexible with his hours and will visit us at home if necessary even out of office hours. We feel confident our money has been invested well.
