What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Wanted to make sure that we had adequate protection in place with a young family and handle our savings/investments as effectively as possible.

How has Robert Atkins helped you?

He looked into the different products and found the ones that most closely suited our needs and completed all the paperwork for us. I have also just started my own business and he has been great in advising what insurances I may need now I don't have civil service benefits and has gone beyond the call of duty to offer his advice and experience in other areas of business start up. Robert is also very flexible and is willing to meet in the evenings.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes we have all the policies in place and know that Robert is only a phone call away.

What could they have done better?

The only thing I can think of is that it can get very confusing what products do what and it would be useful to have an overview of what we have in place.

I have invested for the medium to long term after 18 months i think it is doing reasonably well.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was looking for advise on pensions additionally to my previous employers basic pension as I was worried that I wasn't saving enough. My parents put me in touch with Robert who they highly recommended.

How has Robert Atkins helped you?

Robert has given me great advice explained clearly the options for pensions/savings (for someone who knows zero about finances!) He has always been very prompt should i have any questions. He was also very helpful when I got made redundant & now self employed giving me sensible advice.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I now have a 'rainy day pot' , I've got rid of any debt and can see my money is growing.

We secured our first Mortgage ourselves directly with the building society. It was a lot of hassle with many phone calls and emails to chase things up and keep things moving.

Robert took all the hassle out of applying for a mortgage and secured us a great mortgage and insurance policy.

Definitely. I wouldn't hesitate to use his service again (and already have plans to).

Advice and explanations in a clear and easily understandable manner for the best options to maximise our Pensions and Savings.

Very happy with the products that were recommended for my wifes Pension and also advice for my future Pension options and arrangements.

I do not think that Rob could have improved upon the service he provided. He is always approachable and communicates in terms that we can understand.

Robert went through the all the various option and explained the pros and cons of each. He was very thorough.

Robert is aware to look at balancing my portfolio towards income rather than growth We have discussed the future drawing down of investments and savings in a controlled manner He ensures that I make the best use of my ISA allowance We have discussed the minimising of risk of my investments

Robert advised my wife & myself that we did not have enough Life & critical illness cover in place especially now that our family has grown and and our existing policy was grossly inadequte. Robert took time and effort to search for the best policy for value for money. He is a good listener and very knowledgableh a wealth of experience.

Meeting Robert many years ago when he worked at Yorkshire Bank turned out to be the best thing I ever did as far as financial advice I have seen my investments grow and I am more than pleased with the advice given he also gave me good advice about my pension if I ever need to contact Robert he as always replied the same or next day I have recommended Robert to members of my family and would also recommend him to anyone I feel lucky to have met him.

Robert is great at simplifying financial jargon and helping to consolidate a variety of different saving accounts and helping to get the best rate of interest on your finances. He works quickly to find the best possible solutions to maximise your savings and investments.

What could they have done better?

So far Robert has been available to chat about any situation that has arisen, and always gives a range of times and dates to consult any changes that arise. Maybe a business card that gives more details on and the range of services he covers would be great to pass onto new customers.
