How has Richard Cooke helped you?

Richard took over when my previous advisor left the company that I used to consult and when, a few years later, he moved to his present company I was more than happy to follow suit so as to retain his services. He is a genuinely pleasant person to talk with and treats you with totally without condescension. Richard listens carefully to your concerns and wishes then comes up with options for the best financial route to travel in your particular situation. It is very much a joint effort and I've been happy with the results so far.

What could they have done better?

Just to continue patiently explaining technicalities to a client who doesn't always grasp it first or second time!

How has Richard Cooke helped you?

Richard is extremely approachable and an excellent communicator. He responds quickly, and patiently to the many questions we raise and to the inevitable "anxieties" we have shared with him. Our only qualification is that our relationship with him is relatively "new" - he replaced an IFA with whom we had worked comfortably for 8 years so getting to know him and making decisions about the "new financial direction" he was proposing was obviously an "unsettling" time for us

What could they have done better?

In his enthusiasm to give us as much information as possible we have sometimes felt a bit overwhelmed by "detail and complexities" We want information because we want to make informed choices - but we probably need more "potted versions" in much simpler language

Understands our situation well; accessible whenever we need advice; online reporting means we can easily follow how our portfolio is doing. We recently changed to this adviser having been with another large wealth management company for 15 years plus, becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the [impersonal] service we were receiving. How has Richard Cooke helped you?

Richard provided a very personal service and we felt very confident that he had gone to a great deal of trouble to get to know us as a family and our situation in every aspect. He spent a lot of time ensuring that he understood the type of investment and the risk factors we wanted and we feel confident that he gave us good and appropriate advice. It was very helpful that he was so willing to visit us at home and explain very clearly what he could offer with a clear plan for future review. He also advised us on our tax situation and will be keeping that under review.

What could they have done better?

Difficult to say. The 'three stars' on value for money above is purely because: (a) It is too early to know how our far our investments are successful. (b) because we chose Richard as part of a personal recommendation we have not compared his charges with other advisers.

How has Richard Cooke helped you?

Richard has overseen the investments for my wife and myself for some years...initially with Gee and Co and then as now with Redbourne Wealth Management Ltd. We moved across to his present firm because he offers that personal touch to all considerations of finance, AND, as we moved into semi-retirement, with Richard exploring and advising:-1- regarding a small Annuity now with Just Retirement. 2-Investing a Lump sum on Retirement--and how much of that sum to take compared to receiving a larger Pension, and 3-- moving investments seamlessly from Co-Funds to Fusion.

What could they have done better?

Nothing immediately comes to mind---I guess we lay folk can at times get bemused by the jargon speak within the financial world! that said Richard does well in seeking to keep it reasonably simple for those of us struggling with 21st Century Technologies.

Richard is a highly approachable and competent adviser. When I had to retire due to ill-health Richard helped greatly in maximising a poor pension and he has also steered us towards achieving a very positive investment package that helps supplement our income, while protecting our capital over the past few turbulent years. Since joining his current company, he has been able to be more pro-active across a broader range of financial instruments. In the current financial climate, I am very pleased that we have Richard available to us to provide valued advice. In addition his fee package is very good value when considering the return benefit we have achieved. I am pleased to recommend him.
