What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was looking to take early retirement and my company pension would not have been enough to retire comfortably.

Phil transferred my company pension into a private drawdown pension giving me greater control of "my money".

Definitely, I took early retirement 6 weeks ago thanks to Phil.

What could they have done better?

I don't think he could have done any better. I got the outcome that I was after.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Two issues - One - my various private pensions needed consolidating and rearranging. He did that very well . Secondly _ I needed financial advice regarding my Mothers financial position and inheritance. On this he was superb.

Explained all the options very clearly and recommended the best route for investing the pension top up I will receive from my husband. Carried out report to assess best company to put pension into.

Am awaiting a divorce, yes Philip was excellent in finding me the best available option for the money I have to invest as pension.

Nothing, Philip was excellent in every way. Very well explained and easy to talk to. Put me at ease talking about a subject I know very little about. No pressure just sound advice and great service.

Phil Hayden is the first adviser in our 35 year working life that we feel fully confident with. He is knowledgeable and up to date on financial matters. He has a good power of recall and remembers all our affairs despite they being quite complex. I received open, honest, clear and helpful advice without too much jargon. the information was carefully explained and regular checks made to ensure I was understanding the recommendations etc. Unlike most clients, I live in France but this was not allowed to be an issue.

Initially, Philip Haden reviewed all of my pensions and investments. Then he formulated a coherent plan to streamline my investments and to obtain better returns as well as making them more tax efficient. He made great efforts to reduce the amounts/ratios of management fees and expenses. He took time to understand my personal needs and my attitude to investment risk. He is very personable and is prompt in responses and follow up actions. In short, he "looks out" for me.

What could they have done better?

While the global investment climate is continually changing, perhaps his company could be more proactive in rebalancing portfolios to avoid some of the market correction downside albeit that I want to minimise risk and expenses.
