How to record overseas investment income on my tax form.

How has Paul Hutt helped you?

Reviewed all investments to ensure my tax due was minimised - in fact, I will be receiving a rebated after he sorted out how to deal with capital gains on the investment. He promised a very low introductory fee since I had collated most of the figures already and, despite a significantly extra amount of work necessary on his part, Paul stuck with his initial fee.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

It exceeded my expectations since I was fearing a hefty amount to pay HMRC.

What could they have done better?

Cannot think of anything more Paul could have done to achieve such a great result. Thank you so much and I'll be back next year.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

It was becoming increasing difficult for me to manage annual tax returns for my wife and myself as we had acquired a couple of BUY TO LET properties in recent years.

How has Paul Hutt helped you?

1. By clarifying our affairs and advising on what was and was not eligible for tax relief in what was for us an increasingly complex situation given the recent tax changes to Buy to let etc. 2.By completing and submitting both our tax returns in plenty of time.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Paul was able to obtain refunds from HMIT which I don't think I would have succeeded in doing had I continued to deal with HMIT myself. Overall, it was avery satisfactory outcome.

What could they have done better?

I cannot think of anything he could have done better. The service he provided was was immediate,relevant and professionally delivered at a fair price.

Full accountancy assistance required. This is my first year self employed and I am not familiar with the income tax requirements. My time is also extremely limited and the advice and assistance has been excellent from day one.

I met Paul a short while ago this afternoon (22nd March 2016) and it was a very insightful and informative meeting for a complete novice like me, as I'm about to embark on a journey of running my own business. Paul was very knowledgeable and professional and was competent at explaining the intricacies of my endeavour. He was also friendly and down to earth and answered all of my questions using diagrams and written explanations. PS The maybe indicated below, is a very, very strong maybe.

Paul has taken over the accounts within our company leaving me free to concentrate on the running of the business. He is very easy to work with and I immediately trusted him which can be hard to do inviting someone into your business.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes much more time and less stress. I found it hard to understand the accounting side of the business and this has helped me immensely knowing someone I trust is dealing with it for me. He also highlighted many areas within the business that were not running efficiently.

I required an experienced accountant to help to bring structure to my rapidly growing set of accounts across seven separate businesses and several thousand transactions each week!.

How has Paul Hutt helped you?

Paul quickly organised my accounts and got the books to a point where Paul was able to offer accurate profit forecasts for me on all of my companies. Further to this as my businesses changed Paul was able to offer me advice and guidance on how to move to the next steps and maximise my returns.

Yes. With Pauls advice the outcome is better than I had hoped for; a considerable saving has been made across all of my shareholders.

My previous Accountants closed and I was advised of Paul and Letitias services. They made me feel confident that they could offer a continuation oan expansion of the services I had been using.

As a Newly formed Ltd Business i needed appropriate advice regarding VAT/ CORPORATE TAX/ PERSONAL ALLOWNACES ETC. I was given opportunities to talk through the above featues and felt no pressere on time or relevance to my basic questions.

I am very impressed with the way that Paul tailors his advice to my specific circumstances. I switched over to Paul as his fees were around 50% less than what I had been paying the previous accountant and I seem to have ended up with less fees and better advice. We are now VAT registered and much better off as a result. Keep up the good work!
