My previous accountant was just too expensive.

Tara and her team are approachable, efficient and very good across a broad range of accountancy and taxation areas. They are keen to discuss taxation matters and importantly they don't charge by the minute for advice, as my previous accountant did.

Yes, without a doubt and I have no hesitation with recommending them to other business people that I know.

Not impressed with Duncan & Topliss so needed another accountant and Tara was recommended by another business.

How has Tara Kemp helped you?

Throughout the years Tara has helped with every aspect of running 2 businesses which are set up entirely different. Everything we have asked for has been completed to a high standard and within a given time frame.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, as we are comfortable to e-mail or phone for advice and guidance at any time and we know we will have an answer. Any information we have asked for has been provided and we meet regularly when we need a catch up.

Tara contacted me within a reasonable time period,by email.The first of which outlined her charges,which I thought to be competitive.Soon after I received another email which informed me that they intended to charge VAT on their services which lead to a large increase in their charges.I decided that I would contact a local accountant as a result.This also took into account the travelling involved if I used Tara's services.

When Malcolm made contact we were having to decide whether or not to register for VAT and it was dependant on a move out of our home office into new premises. I gave our current price to Malcolm and we have honoured all agreed fees, although I thought it only fair to inform him that we may have to register for VAT. Our main competition these days are the larger firms who are also VAT registered and we've been trading just below the registration threshold for some time now. We have a good client base well spread across Lincolnshire, including Skegness, and other clients all over the world.

I think Tara understood perfectly what we required, everything was explained in a very easy to understand but detailed way. the most important thing is that she is very patient and happy to explain anything we do not understand, she takes the worry out of something that can be a bit of a mine field, and makes us feel relaxed and most importantly we trust her 100%.

Service was just what we needed. She has made us see what we can and are able to achieve.

I had two diverse sources of income and wasn't sure how best to show this. Along with other complications I thought it better to employ a professional to do my tax return.

How has Tara Kemp helped you?

I contacted them on the Friday afternoon, Andy came out to see us that same Friday evening and went through everything, explained it all clearly and told us what information he needed.

Yes. we were kept informed continuously. Andy told us of several things we could offset which we didn't realise.

We required an independent examiner to prepare the accounts so that they could be sent to the Charity Commission, and could be seen and agreed by the charity members.

she listened carefully, kept me calm as I was very inexperienced, advised, and made herself available to answer the many questions I sent her.

yes. my questions were answered and I feel a little more confident in my own knowledge now.

What could they have done better?

I think I may have improved in my knowledge enough to benefit from any helpful suggestions and tips on efficiency and accuracy in book keeping. This was not evident before but I am more ready now.

I initially set up a some reason company. Two years later this was changed to a limited company.

I started using Andy three years ago when I was a sole trader, I have now moved to a ltd company an count on Astar for constant advise and support to ensure all the 't's are crossed and the 'I's dotted- and on time. Can't thank you guys enough for all that you have done for me/us. I have also highly recommended AStar to all that ask for an accountant.
