What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

I needed help with my Self Assessment for Tax. My circumstances, I felt, were a little bit complicated and I was concerned that it was done professionally and correctly.

How has Simon Thomas helped you?

Simon was extremely professional and understood my needs. I felt that I was able to talk to a member of the team at any time and they were very helpful. This has become a yearly event for me now. I did not know, at first, what I needed to give the Accountants but my first meeting with Mr. John Hunter, a number of years ago helped me feel at ease. I feel very trusting and confident that everything will be taken care of. Each year, my Self Assessment for Tax is conducted well so I do not have to fear any surprise bills from the Tax man! Thankyou.

I received the service I needed and I feel that a weight has been lifted off my shoulders as I have someone to turn to who can understand exactly what I need to send to the Tax office.

There are new rules on mortgage interest rate relief from 6th April 2016, a company may have some benefits for higher rate taxpayers, however, moving property into a company can cause an immediate capital gains problem for the individual. Simon took over my accounts from my previous accountant who became unable to carry on his service due to illness. I had been with my previous accountant for about 15 years. Simon took over and the process was seamless. He provides me with advice as and when I need it and returns my annual accounts to me a a timely fashion. What I would prefer is to talk rather than email questions / responses. However I understand I am now of a generation that talking is preferable to emailing.
