What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

I am a small business owner and needed an Accountant to help me with my end of year accounts.

How has Claire Georghiades helped you?

Claire has not only helped me with submitting my accounts to Companies House and HMRC, but also been extremely supportive of me as a business owner. She is very encouraging and comes with great ideas for helping develop my business.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Everything has been delivered on time. Claire uses a lot of clever online tools to ensure that things are done efficiently, which ultimately saves me a lot of time. Very pleased that Claire has run and managed everything as agreed.

What could they have done better?

Would be good to get a table of all the documents that need to be submitted, to who and what date.

Claire sent me an email to contact her. I rang her and got no answer. She later sent me a text saying that she was busy and could not speak. I left a message on her answer phone, and I have not received a call back from her.

All done and completed with an excellent result. Very pleased with the quick turn around time, will use Claire's services again. I can strongly recommend her to anyone looking for an accountant.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

I was very unhappy with the level of services received from my previous accountant.

How has Claire Georghiades helped you?

Claire has been amazing. She reassured me from the very start that I was with a very experienced and professional accountant and the level of personal service has been outstanding. Claire is never on a clock and will spend as much time with you as necessary to ensure you understand your accounts (which is very important). She has though me so much about managing my accounts/VAT etc which empowers you to make better decisions. She is highly organised and and makes sure all your tax affairs are reported and submitted in good time.

All my affairs are in order / accounts submitted / self assessment done !.

I have used Accounts Resource for less than a year but Claire has always given me straight-forward advice and responded to any requests fairly quickly. She represents very good value for money for a small business like mine.

What could they have done better?

I have sent emails in the past with specific figures in for amounts to pay etc and once it was clear she responded to the email without reading the figures in it and I ended up making an incorrect transfer - this was not a tax payment, however, merely a payment of my own funds from one account to another. So a relatively minor detail which was easily remedied by making a balancing payment the following month.

Claire Georghiades has brought my accounting procedures into the 21st century by setting me up with Xero to run my company finances in minutes, not days, but also with a very personal, hands on approach to all my queries and common mistakes. Get the best of both worlds - go-anywhere accounting and personal service. Claire is knowledgable, efficient, modern and really approachable. She is also an excellent negotiatior in matters to do with company dissolutions. I love the face that for a small monthly fee we both have instant access to my books, total support and training and all the end of year reports and tax returns. I am a small business and this is the only way to do business. I am not surprised Claire has received so many awards for her work.

What could they have done better?

I could sit here all day and try to pick holes in Claire's products, service and support but there aren't any.

I started a Limited Company in April 2014. Claire set it up for me and provided me with a very straight foreword easy way to manage my accounts using Xero. She continues to advise me at every step, always available and very quick to respond to queries. Nothing is too much trouble and I would highly recommend Claire.

How has Claire Georghiades helped you?

Claire has been a godsend, having moved from paper format not only were our company accounts filed in a more efficient manner, the software Claire chose for us made book-keeping so much easier. She was very patient and walked us through the accountancy programme and if we have encountered issues Claire immediately corrected them herself and told us why they had come about. The support package and quality of service provided by Claire has meant that I can operate my business with peace of mind that we are up to date with our finances, our staff wages are organised and our Tax and VAT Returns are well looked after. Finally, I will add that despite our companies being in different regions it has not affected our business relationship nor the level or service provided by Accounts Resource, I would highly recommend to others.

How has Claire Georghiades helped you?

Claire has been advising me since 2013 and I must say she's been invaluable to me! I wish I could give her a six star rating instead of 5 for each of sections above. She understands my irrational fear of numbers and makes the process of doing my books so pain-free that I'd be hard pushed to use someone else to take care of my accounting in the future. If I ever had to, they'd have such a lot to live up to! Her services offer good value for money and she's always looking out for ways to help you save on your costs. Love it! Just this year she saved me (yet again) from getting a penalty for not filing my personal tax returns on time - just by doing one simple thing. As I said before, she invaluable to me...

What could they have done better?

I've found nothing wrong with the service Claire gives but I suppose if she had a ready made 'menu' of her services then that may help others see what value she adds even more quickly.

She always offers advice that is spot on, breaks things down into language I can understand and truly has my best interests and that of my business at heart.

How has Claire Georghiades helped you?

Accounts Resource have provided me with a payroll and tax/NI service for the last three years for our nanny's payroll. They provide payslips, tax figures and advice on NI and tax payments. The advice Claire has provided has been invaluable and helped me in circumstances where I was feeling overwhelmed with the prospect of 'being an employer'. Claire has also helped with tax planning, for example the knock on effects with tax and NI payments when we have given the nanny a pay rise.

What could they have done better?

there is very little I can criticise about the service I have received. If I had to think of something, may be an email record of my NI and tax payments on a quarterly basis. This may have helped with budgeting but not a necessity.
