Advice on investments initially and then with my pension and transferring it from JPMorgan's Pension plan where I used to work.

How has Andrew Sexton helped you?

Andrew has provided me with information on different options for investment vehicles both for my pension and savings. He also gave me a contact number for True Potential who I now use for my business pension plan, which I had to set up for my cleaning company. Andrew's excellent financial knowledge has helped me immensely, he listens, is very proactive and I trust him implicitly. He is always very responsive to any interim queries I have and will provide me information I need quickly or will arrange a meeting if needed.

Absolutely! I am very happy with the results of my investment and pension.

I really cant think of anything Andrew could do better. I am looking for financial advice and he provides that for me. Retirement. My wife and I took the opportunity to retire together.

How has Andrew Sexton helped you?

We looked for a FA on the government website. Came up with 3 referrals, one of which was Andrew, and arranged meetings with them all. Andrew impressed us immediately, providing several options for our consideration. Some of which that had not been suggested by other FA’s. Working through the options and coming to an agreed retirement approach Andrew guided my wife and I through the process. Nothing was rushed, no questions unanswered. Really put both our minds at ease and ensured we understood exactly what was available and what needed to be considered. All the while detailing the facts and pointing out the associated risks. All his efforts driving us to an agreed retirement and investment plan.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

The plan that we decided upon has delivered exactly as discussed and has allowed us to realise our goals in retirement. As important as the initial and subsequent follow up meetings to put our plans in place. Andrew continues to not only meet with us on the plans anniversary but keeps us updated on the position of the fund manager and the markets. And more importantly to us be there when we have questions, concerns and requirements.

What could they have done better?

The process Andrew took us through was so comprehensive, he covered every retirement and investment question we had. I cannot think of anything that could have been done better.

Lack of reward from bank accounts combined with some cash I could spare

Certainly helped on the pensions, taking the account I had which did not seem to be earning anything, and putting it into one which now grows. Also first stocks and shares investment for me where he seemed to understand I was not a huge risk taker so chose some balanced accounts.

Certainly the pension is much improved. For the stocks and shares I wasn't sure what to expect, it takes time to understand the growth rates reported and the resulting cash. So far I have gained more than a building society so I think that it is worthwhile.

I was looking into the possibility of taking early retirement and needed someone to give me some advice about whether I could really afford it and what my options were. He came highly recommended by 2 other friends who had received excellent advice from him on the same matter.

How has Andrew Sexton helped you?

Andy was there for me every step of the way prior to and after my retirement and if ever I had additional questions or needed clarification or him to explain something In a different way, he was always available. For me, he explains everything in Layman’s terms and doesn’t tend to get bogged down in some of the more technical terms as I prefer it that way.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I certainly have. My pension is working well for me and early signs are that the “pot” will continue to grow with the experienced investors who are monitoring it. I can approach Andy about anything financial and am confident that he will call me back quickly with the answers I’m looking for. He’s super personable and has a really casual style that I prefer compared to some FAs I’ve known in the past who can be rather formal.

I can’t think of anything. From day one, we hit it off and he fully understands fully my goals and what I’m striving towards. I trust he has my best interests at heart.

I was very nervous about moving my funds from a large organisation to Andy to manage. I carried out all the background checks I could find on him, there were not many places to look. I am sure that my investments are relatively small in comparison to the ones he works with, but I needed to ensure the money was not going to disappear. I had not been in a position to invest any money before. I am not sure how he could have given me more confidence in his honesty as he was just starting out as an independant advisor. He has worked hard to keep me well informed on what is happening and why. He has always been professional, timely and helpful. My decision to work with him and follow his advice has never been regretted.

Explained the process of cashing in pensions from numerous providers and choices available of what to do with the monies when received to make it most beneficial for my retirement.

As explained fully before any transfers took place the risks I was willing to take with my funds and where they were invested ,it is possible for funds to increase and decrease over periods of time.This procedure is not for the likes of me to try to sort out as I would not know the best place to invest monies for best returns and safety, hence why contact with a financial adviser.

The only point I can think of, is having spoken to other people in a similar situation the rates charged vary considerably, you want the best results from the least expensive option.

Andrew walked us through the whole process of pension planning. What our objectives/requirements were from week to week, month to month. Provided ideas on how we could build and check them. Once agreed our options to achieve our goals that included self management through to a full management service. Andrew then took us through a similar process for investment management.
