Due to inheritance, I required excellent financial advice re investments and planning. A respected professional colleague of my husband's recommended Peter highly to us.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We had a number of investments and pension funds that needed better management (we didn’t have time to do this). We needed some one reliable and trustworthy who had a track record in personal finance management. Peter Davies fitted the bill.

How has Peter Davies helped you?

Peter has helped with: 1. Consolidating a couple of pension funds into one. 2. Set up a Private Pension Plan – I contribute to a pension outside my work pension scheme. 3. Set up a trust fund for our children. 4. Set up life insurance in case one of use passed away. 5. Set up continuous ISA saving. 6. Helps manage our ISA and Pension funds. He has ensured our private finances and in a good order. We will continue to use Peter to move money as we approach our retirement (we are now 55).

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. By taking money out and putting it into a Private Pension Fund we have gained access to better fund manages and funds and seen better growth. Using Peter Davies has also given us peace of mind over our investments and greater security as we get older. Also it has enabled us to weather out and avoid some of the fluctuations in the markets that we have seen in recent years. We now have increased security over our long term financial plans.

What could they have done better?

I am not sure they could have. They have been better and more approachable than any other financial advisor we have used. Perhaps we could have helped more by being more aware of the financial situation and impact on the markets. We perhaps could have asked more of Create Wealth (Peter Davies).

Peter has an excellent in-depth knowledge of the markets, investment funds and investment fund managers. He is able to convey this knowledge of investments in an understandable way and help inform investment choices. Peter listens to me as his client and understands my investment needs and is able to provide expert guidance on the most appropriate investment choices. Very importantly for a financial advisor, over a ~10-year period, Peter has made very good investment recommendations and produced excellent returns for me.

What could they have done better?

The only suggestion for improvement I would recommend is to perhaps provide statements/reports that show the performance of different investments in a slightly clear manner, for example, to make the profits/losses over a given period more apparent.

Obviously I am very satisfied with the state ofmy affairs or I would not have retained the services for all these years! Prior to becoming a client of this firm I was a customer of "Lloyds Private Banking", under various pseudomyms, originating as "Lloyds Trust Department" in the 1960s. hatever name it assumed the service provided was not especially impresive despite the high fees charged.
