The para-planning stage process to activate investments & money transfers seems to be taking quite a time at the moment. I don’t think this was always the case - I do appreciate the need for due diligence though.

The service provided by my exitsing advisor was poor to say the least hence looking for alternate option

Ed took time to walk carefully through all options and projections. The information provided was fundemental to my decision to retire as the quality of the reports and options tabled, gave me the confidence to finally call it a day.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes absolutely. Its only been a few months but we remain on plan

What could they have done better?

The only area I found initially frustrating was that of the visibility of the dates for the new retirement income. Having handed my notice in in March, it will in truth be August before the all first monthly payments will have been received. In fairness to Ed, he did say the set up would take a bit of time but my expectation was 8-10 weeks based on the discussions prior to committing to retire. If I had understood better the length of time it would take, I would have delayed my retirement by 1 month to keep an income coming in. The set up of the new pensions in fairness to Ed and team is out of their control so this is by no means any criticism. It may be worth in the future, being less 'optimistic' on the set up timeframe to better help manage client expectations.

My husband & I wanted to look at our options for retirement and what our future could look like.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. It is only the start of our journey but it is working really well. We will meet face to face annually and we can use the online portal with any questions in between our annual review.
