An independent adviser can advise across a sufficiently diverse range of products to help meet a client’s objectives. They are in no way limited to products provided by companies they work for.

I’ve been working in financial services since 2014, having started my career at the Nationwide, followed by Natwest, before I moved into mortgage advice. I then decided to study in my spare time to become a financial adviser. Once I completed my studies, I joined St. James’s Place, where I worked with clients for a little over 6 years before deciding to join Shackleton. I am a Chartered adviser through the London Institute of Banking and Finance. I’ve always had an aptitude for numbers and an eye for detail, two things which are essential when advising clients. My clients would say that I am reliable, have a great eye for detail and will always make time for them when they need it. The way I work is to follow one key rule which is ‘always do what you say you’re going to do’ and this is something that has been appreciated by my clients over the years. My approach is centred around education, making sure that everything is explained to you in a clear and concise way, and that you are always aware of what we are doing for you and why we are doing it. I offer a wide range of financial planning services, including pensions, investments, protection and retirement and I particularly enjoy cashflow planning as this allows my clients to visualise the stages of their retirement, rather than just staring at a number on a screen. Additionally, I have been heavily involved is the safe transition of assets across multiple generations, through inheritance tax planning for many of my clients. Outside of work, you will either find me in the gym, playing football or on the golf course.
