Had an initial call with Gary where he really listened to what we wanted help with - a follow up meeting has taken place where Gary was methodical, professional and gained our trust that his input would be with our best interests in mind. He has suggested we may want to go elsewhere due to our particular circumstances while being happy to do further follow up to help us make a decision. A very positive experience so far.

In my experience we've found Gary Moody explains options really clearly and has not charged a penny where he hasn't added value. Our pension situations and circumstances are pretty peculiar, so we intend to compare with other providers, but we would certainly recommend Gary.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Coming up to retirement age and not having a company pension was beginning to worry me.

How has Gary Moody helped you?

Gary always gives excellent advice and is wonderful at putting things into perspective. He has a very healthy attitude to money and its purpose in life and advises accordingly in the client's very best interests. He is very easy to talk to and he explains matters simply. Super service.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

With Gary's help and advice, I am far less worried now about my financial future.

What could they have done better?

Gary is extremely approachable and very available to assist in planning or advising. It is very difficult to find any fault in his professional, personable approach.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I am a university student needing to invest some funds with a view to saving for a house purchase in the very long term.

How has Gary Moody helped you?

Gary explored all viable options with me and ultimately advised me that the most favourable investment for me was one that financial advisors are not required for. Nevertheless still gave me all the information I needed to proceed. Gary gave me a lot of time and help and made sure I was clear on everything. I would feel able to ask him for more help if needed.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes Gary helped me find the outcome I was looking for. I can now move forward with investing my funds in the most beneficial way for me.

Introduction was good, the payment side for his services, if offer taken up, was above the head of me, this I would need explaining I perhaps in Layman terms, but we felt we got good advise in general.

Adie, thanks for taking the time to leave a review, i really appreciate it I'm sorry i wasn't clear enough on the charges, I'll expand on this when we meet again but in a nutshell, there will be no charges if you choose not to proceed, any charges depend on what we are looking to do together but will be a maximum of 3% and much likely lower

How has Gary Moody helped you?

My husband and I have known Garry for around 6 years and in that time he has looked after our individual financial needs. We have always had separate finances and Garry has managed both of us individually so that our privacy has been maintained. He is professional, knowledgable and very much intested in his clients with his main aim being to achieve the best at all times and in all areas requested, by his clients. In fact he is now very much regarded by us as a friend.

For me personally, Gary clearly explains what is going on with my investments and is always on the end of the telephone if I have any queries. He is a very up front person and is straight talking and does not "waffle", comes straight to the point. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who is not sure what to do with their money he gives you confidence in yourself and in him. I feel very safe in Gary's hands and know that his eyes are always on the market and reviews all investments regularly to ensure I am getting the best service.

Gary is an experienced advisor, a clear communicator and an individual who gives you confidence in his abilities. He is approachable and takes time to explain (over and again if your not getting it! ) the intracies of the financial services sector in a straightforward way and finds the right level to gain understanding. Gary builds a rapport with his customers finding the appropriate balance between friendly and professional. Gary is very good on delivering what he says he will within the timescales agreed. I feel he has high integrity and believe he reviews my investments regulary I feel I can trust him to raise and concerns with me in a timely manner. Gary is one of the most genuine and caring people I have ever met. Unlike others he always contacts me regularly every few weeks, to see if I am happy with everything or have any questions, he visits me regularly at no extra cost. He watches my investments consciously and contacts me if he feels there is something extra to discuss. I have never had a Financial Adviser look after me and my investments so thoroughly. His friendly manner puts you at ease straight away and I trust him implicitly. I have recommended him to family and friends and they are equally impressed. I would vouch for him totally, you won't find better.

Gary understood my situation, discussed goals, attitude to risk, explained his recommendations, described charges, all this was provided in a professional manner. My situation. I had a lot of investments which consisted mainly of one company creating very unbalanced portfolio. Some of these investments had large cash balances not earning any interest. Gary has been able to bring all these investment accounts into one ISA account with a balanced investments providing me with a monthly income.

Recommending a financial adviser is difficult as people's expectations are very different, however we are happy to unreservedly recommend Gary after several years good experience. His personal service stands out and he has always gone the extra mile. In the early days we tracked the investments every month and he helped us with spreadsheets and emailed status reports. We now have the confidence to leave this level of tracking to Gary. We had two long term goals initially, to be in a strong financial position on moving house to the North West and to receive an income from our investments in early retirement to carry us through to state retirement age. The first objective has been fully achieved, the second is on target with only two years to go, we have maintained capital, but enjoyed some extra income to cover the larger expenses throughout the year. The trust you place in a financial adviser is huge. Gary has repaid that trust in full.

What could they have done better?

Gary really has provided a totally professional service. We are surprised that he has been able to maintain the level of personal contact as not only has his business grown, but we have moved 300 miles away from Ipswich. He is very knowledgeable on the funds that he deals in. On broader issues, such as cash savings and tax refunds on interest paid, we have had to do a little more of our own research. Financial services rules do limit the type of advice that Gary, along with all IFAs can give. Nevertheless, he is willing to offer an opinion and make some suggestions for you to follow up in these areas.
