Tony has been helpful setting up by pension and has carried out all tasks connected to it efficiently.

What could they have done better?

Some of the financial jargon used is quite hard to understand and on several occasions I have requested a meeting to explain something better. Tony has always replied to a query quickly or set up a meeting as requested.

Tony has been advising me on my investments set aside specifically for my retirement. I have been extremely satisfied by his competency and the advice given over a number of years. Prior to my retirement I was in the Financial Services sector and during that time had great regard for his firm.

Tony Duckworth is always well prepared and takes time to understand my needs and limitations. He is open about his opinions and what influences them. He offers the better deal of fixed commission or fee. He presents the products he offers well in relation to my needs, and also comments on the weaknesses of the products, so there are no surprises in the future. His discussions are clear to follow and not full of jargon. He is an easy man to trust. On the odd occasions when there have been administrative slip-ups or delays (sometimes with the product provider, rather than the advisor), he has been responsive in correcting or explaining the problem.

What could they have done better?

He does exactly what I expect and require/request because of his understanding of my situation. So it is hard tp provide a detailed answer to this question.

Tony has advised me now for several years. After my husband passed away he has been very helpful in advising me of my options. He is always available to talk to, no matter how trivial the question. His knowledge of the markets is exceptional. He has loads of patience, and will explain things again and again till I understand!

Tony provides an excellent service exactly tailored to meet my current and future needs. He is willing to help above and beyond financial planning such as advising my son on the best way to finance his university education. Tony politely but firmly encourages me to take more financial responsibility and to understand fully my financial situation. He also is very conscious of my future needs and advises well in advance on any proposed legislative changes.

What could they have done better?

It would be helpful if letters from Tony following our regular financial reviews contained a paragraph which set out clearly, probably with bullet points, any tasks I needed to perform and the date by which they needed to be completed as a result of our discussion. This would give me a clear 'to do list' and ensure that I undertook all appropriate actions in a more timely fashion.
