What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had a buy-to-let mortgage that was maturing and I needed to re-mortgage quickly. I needed a good rate, but also a degree of flexibility, in case I need to sell the property sooner than planned.

How has Vicki Charles helped you?

Vicki researched the market very thoroughly for me, taking into account some specific requirements in terms of possible early redemption charges etc. She was quick to turn everything around and gave me sound advice and guidance, at every step.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My usual IFA would/could not help with the circumstances of my pension. So looked online and Vicki was one of the people locally who may have been able to give me a second opinion. What a find !!!!

How has Vicki Charles helped you?

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

The situation was complicated as we were looking to an equity release on our existing property, transfer it on to a Let-to-Buy and then purchase a new residential property.

How has Vicki Charles helped you?

Vicki was fantastic. She managed to guide us throughout the process and explained everything very clearly at each step. The applications turned out to be more complicated than originally thought as I am a serving member of the armed forces and recently completed a 3 year tour overseas with my family. Vicki managed to find understanding lenders and put our case forward in a detailed manner and now have the DIPs in place to progress to the next stage of the purchase.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

The outcome of the process has been better than we expected as we have managed to keep a renovation pot back in reserve which will allow us to put our ideas into action in the new property. At one point in the process this looked unlikely but due to Vicki's persistence and vast experience of the market she managed to fulfil all the criteria we requested at the outset.

What could they have done better?

The experience was extremely professional and Vicki covered everything I would expect during our communications therefore it is difficult to suggest any areas for improvement.

Having only 5 years left on my mortgage I had ideas which I thought may work but needed expert advice to confirm if I could go down this route I was considering and what the consequences would be if it was not the right thing to do.

Vicki listened to what I was considering then have me the pitfalls which I had not thought of then gave me advice on a product that had not even crossed my mind.

Yes great result. Monthly payments work out perfectly and the extra money going into my pension pot will allow me take less than my 25% tax free cash at 55 to clear the balance but in the meantime increasing my investments so a win win.

Absolutely nothing. I cannot fault the service and I was kept informed every step of the way so very pleased with the outcome.

My father has dementia and my sister and I became POAs for him. We needed advice on how to manage his investments and ensure we could look forward and provide long term care when the need arises.

Perhaps it would have helped my mother to have put a review date in the diary for 6 months or 1 years time so she knew when Vicki would be visiting her again. However Vicki is always at the end of an email for me so this was not a problem from my side of things.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

The first time I contacted Vicki was in connection with the purchase of a second property following a separation. The family home was to remain and I needed advice regarding the mortgage for my sole use. A couple of years later I then purchased a third property with my new partner whilst renting out the previous property.

How has Vicki Charles helped you?

Vicki was fantastic in helping me find the right vehicle for my mortgage. Although a high earner with the original family home in place and maintenance payments my financial situation had become relatively complex. Once the new mortgages were in place we also reviewed my current pension schemes with Vicki carefully checking the providers costs and returns to see if they could be bettered.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Absolutely! I must have recommended Vicki's services to at least five friends and work colleagues and all have received excellent service. My partner and I have also re-mortgaged through Vicki and continue to see Vicki as the go to person for all our financial needs.
