What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Historically I had looked after my own investments, I was self employed and had less and less time to manage my financial affairs. I spoke with my accountant and they recommended Daniel alongside another couple of companies

Yes, initially my investment strategy was a little more risky and in the last few years I have been more risk averse. The returns in both cases have been more than acceptable.

How has Daniel Schofield helped you?

Over the years, Daniel helped me combine various pensions and since that time, manage them and now I am drawing down on these. He invests and manages my ISA's and has advised me with respect to Inheritance Tax Planning.

What could they have done better?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and from that perspective I would say they could have done little better.

I am self employed in the electronics industry. I had an interest in investment and managed my own finances for many years but as my business grew, I no longer had the time to do this. I needed someone to manage my portfolio/pension, Daniel was recommended by my accountant.

We discussed my then finances, my attitude to risk, what were my objectives, when would I like to retire. Daniel came back with several recommendations and explanations as to the different investment strategies of the funds/products he was suggesting, also proposals as to how I should consider rebalancing my portfolio to better match with my plans.

Yes, very happy, we are currently planning my retirement from early 2019

Approaching retirement has influenced my needs going forwards and attitude to roller coaster markets.
