I have used an advisor for more than 30 years since starting my first private pension.

James shows a deep understanding of the issues involved, the products and the concerns we have as individuals about making sure our money is working for us. He has always been very responsive and has helped in the past with advice about such topics as Long Term Care and Pension Transfers in additions to the ones noted in the last 12 months.

I am continuing to see healthy growth in my investments and pension funds balanced within my risk tolerance.

What could they have done better?

I can honestly say that I do not think that James could have done anything better in the time he has been advising me.

My original financial advisor retired and Perspective took over his clients.

Yes, at an annual meeting, he methodically runs through all that has happened financially in my portfolio and recommends any change that might be needed in the coming year which is comforting.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, whilst taking into account the world’s turmoils in the past 6 years, I am generally very happy with the outcome.

The nursing pension plan was changing, but I could opt to stay on the older plan. I wanted to know which would be the best option.

Much depends on the financial markets, but so far I’m pleased.

Nothing that I know of.

Returning from overseas 20 years ago I needed good advice re investments and financial security for the family.

James has extensive knowledge of the financial environment and has been able to simplify often complex arrangements (for example Trusts) and give clear guidance about the options available.

Absolutely. A balanced portfolio and clear plans for the future.

What could they have done better?

Frankly not much. James is supported with excellent colleagues (notably Cleary) that make the transactional side of the operation very straightforward.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Our original adviser of many years retired and sold his business to ‘Perspective ‘ for whom Mr Posnett works. James Posnett came to us with a recommendation from our previous adviser in whom we had complete trust.

How has James Posnett helped you?

James has been helpful in explaining why he is, or has, suggested various plans of action to us regarding pensions, trusts and financial advice in general.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes I think so. The value of our portfolio seems to be increasing and remains within the scope of our expectations. Just at this moment in time with the problems in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz in particular, a very careful eye will have to be kept on most financial transactions advisers to ensure that they are still getting the best returns for their clients.

What could they have done better?

Communication could be better in particular with replies from James to E-Mails that we have sent to him.
