How has Andy Manning helped you?
Andy took over our portfolio from our previous adviser and made the necessary changes to meet our objectives. He also managed the consolidation of my private pensions and the incorporation of inherited family assets into our investment portfolio. In addition Andy manages my mother's portfolio.

Running small companies for much of our careers we were not able to rely on a major company pension scheme. As such we were looking for an adviser who could make the most of our self administered pension funds and our savings and investments.
How has Andy Manning helped you?
Andy was recommended to myself and my wife some 20 years ago. He helped us to build up our funds and on approaching retirement helped put together an investment and withdrawal plan to provide us with a regular income.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
The plan has worked extremely well, enabling us to withdraw funds from income earned on our investments without depleting the capital value.

I needed someone to advise on my pension investments, and Andy was recommended to me by a friend and colleague.
How has Andy Manning helped you?
During several meetings, Andy listened to my objectives and then made recommendations. The reasons behind them were clearly explained, including various options, and I agreed a strategy with him. My understanding of pensions is limited and I needed to know that my investment was safe and that someone I could trust was providing sound advice. Over some 15 years or so, Andy has always explained his charges clearly, never attempted to hide them, and I believe they are entirely fair for the excellent service he provides. I am still working, continue to invest monthly and know that any time I need advice between our scheduled meetings, then he and his support team are always available. He offers excellent service and I trust his advice.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
In terms of the service provided, the service has been excellent and Andy has fulfilled all my objectives. Like most investments, my pension has good months and those which are not so good, but in terms of meeting the target returns I agreed with Andy the pension fund continues to meet expectations. The annual review offered by Andy as part of the service is excellent, very thorough, and provides opportunities to consider alternative investment strategies.
What could they have done better?
In so far as my objective is to leave the management of my pension to someone who understands how to get the best from the investment I am in good hands with Andy, and see little room for improvement in the service he offers. Even the business location for meetings is convenient - out of town with plenty of space for parking on-site. His colleagues are always friendly and also know who I am if I call, which is typically only a few times per year. If I am worried or want him to consider anything, then he makes time to respond quickly, and provides reasons for his advice. It's obvious that he actually cares too, which I consider important.

We had previously been clients with another successful IFA who was retiring & recommended/introduced us to Andy 8 years ago.
How has Andy Manning helped you?
We met Andy who reviewed our income & expenditure needs & our existing investment portfolio in a mutually understanding manner. He then went away and came back later with a few ideas & suggestions for some diversification of investment & the need for wills & inheritance protection. Then gradually we have built up a trusting relationship over 8 years.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Whilst we do not understand every intricate detail we have received good service, results & steady growth and the realisation that investment is a marathon rather than a sprint with occasional peaks & troughs en-route. As a result we are able to live to a comfortable standard & hopefully leave a reasonable inheritance for our family after our passing.
What could they have done better?
With the benefit of hindsight perhaps we should have consulted an IFA when we were much younger rather than wait until retirement. Obviously this would not have been Andy, being much younger than us , unless of course he may have been a financial whizz-kid at preschool!

He dutifully phoned me back within the timeframe that had be given to me and he was both polite and courteous when he spoke to me. He has subsequently e-mailed me informing me what information to bring to the meeting, and I am due to see him today. He informed me that he would go through costs when we met, depending upon what further work was required.

At meetings he reviews my requirements now and also my plans for the future, and if anything has changed, including reviewing my out look to risk. Then goes through the existing portfolio, saying what has performed well or not and what now needs to be changed for a better performance with the current climates or requirements. Everything is talked through and if I don't understand he is happy to try another explanation until I do understand. He makes sure I am contacted Annually to arrange a review meeting but would be prepared to see me at any time should I want to discuss anything. He listens to what I feel I need and doesn't try selling products I don't want or need. But if I enquiry about something he will take the time to again talk me through it, so I can decided if it will suit my plans or if it is not what I thought it was.
What could they have done better?
I can't think of anything, as I know he is at the end of the phone or e-mail should I have any questions and his staff are extremely helpful and efficient.
