I was keen to move pension provider and approached Sean for his advice and opinion.

How has Seán Standerwick helped you?

He laid out very clearly all the possible pension options explained clearly the possible risks and returns of each product. The product we agreed on in the end was specifically tailored to my requirements. Lately I have been seeking his advice regarding inheritance planning. A virtual meeting was setup at a mutual convenient time and we discussed how to manage inheritance issues with owning assets in different countries. Sean laid out clearly all the possible scenarios but also was honest in acknowledging that in certain areas he did not have the necessary expertise. However he pointed me in the right direction.

Yes the investment has seen a solid return over the last 5 years. Having online access to the investment portfolio has been a great help.

Hi Gary, Many thanks for the top review. Previous to your review i reached out to your directly to see if you wanted a catch up, i understand your concerns about recent market movements. As discussed, whilst markets in general have been tough and we'd prefer them to have gone up for everyone, your portfolio hasn't done badly comparatively or for your risk level. We always suggest clients have a 5 year view for investments due to the unpredictability of movements in the short term. We are still very confident in your investment portfolios and at this point you also haven't cashed in any losses. Hopefully speak soon. As you know there are other areas we can add value too, eg. tax efficiencies, income strategies on your portfolios.

I had several pensions with different providers. I had little or no visibility of how the investments were manager, if the performance was in line with the markets.

How has Seán Standerwick helped you?

Seán helped me to understand my pension and investment options and, walked me through a risk profiler so that I could select the most appropriate option for me. Once we had agreed a plan and I completed a few simple and straightforward forms. Seán and his team took care of everything else.

I now have all of my pensions under one provider. Have access to an in lime portal where I can see how my portfolio is performing and, where my money is invested. I am pleased to say that investment has grown since it has been with Seán & MLP

What could they have done better?

Nothing. Seán even chase down my overdue interest payments from a provider who took an aged to make the transfer. I also recvied £250 compensation thanks to the tenacity of Seán‘s team.

Originally, we needed advice on investing monies from a sale of a property. Today I needed advice on withdrawing savings to invest in a property/ and my retirement next year.

Sean took the time to explain the tax implications on investing in a further property, the benefits of how and when to put aside further funds for my retirement to ensure I have sufficient to last me.

Yes, Sean has given me a lot to think about and discuss with my family. I will contact him in the not too distant future.
