A return to the UK after 17 years require me to revisit my pension plans, and look to simplify and safeguard diverse investments. In addition a move from employment to self-employment a short while after required me to secure an effective set of protections that were previously secure through my employer.
How has Robert Erskine helped you?
Provided updates on how the pensions landscape had changed in the UK, offered up suggestions on how my situation could be handled. Engaged suitably qualified persons to handle further investigation of potential consolidation of funds including my defined benefit scheme. Provided a selection of alternatives on types of protections and providers to get best value for money. All of this was underpinned by spending valuable time to understand my, and my family, situation and our objectives and plans for the future. All things were considered and advice was always felt to be in our best interest without anything approaching a sales pitch.

The outcome we were hoping for has been achieved to the extent it could be. Unfortunately external factors affecting the markets have put a halt on some of the pension consolidation work, but that will be revisited.
