What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was approaching retirement age and realised that I would require professional advice.

My previous advisor was retiring from my previously selected financial institution and Sarah was hired to take over his portfolio. At this time my situation had changed with my wife and I deciding to have some major structural modifications to our property helping us to enjoy retirement more fully. Sarah was instrumental in managing tax efficiency during the duration of the funds taken as pension drawdown. The project will be finished around November at which time I have already arranged to meet with Sarah to rearrange future pension dropdown / annuity balance.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Outcome is not finalised so far (but very nearly there). Near enough for me to see that the outcome has worked so far under real world conditions.

What could they have done better?

Nothing, as my tax paid was the minimum I could have paid by spreading the project cost over a larger period. That is exactly what I wanted.

As a new client, my first impressions of Sarah are extremely positive. She listens carefully in order to get a full picture of my family’s circumstances. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

As retirement age was fast approaching, and as I had only limited experience of investments, and more specifically, pensions, following a recommendation I decided to approach AINV for advice and was blown away by the advice given by Sarah, who is such a pleasure to deal with, always approachable and very responsive.

How has Sarah Iqbal helped you?

Sarah’s advice and knowledge has ultimately ensured that my pension is working as cost effectively and as efficiently as possible, bringing other small pots together, and ensuring my pension has grown far better than I could ever imagine it would have without her input. I have no doubt the advise, subsequent growth and security far outweigh the relatively small fee.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

The resulting outcome is that I got my wish to retire early, and earlier than I initially thought, which is thanks to Sarah and AINV. Without Sarah’s help I am absolutely certain I would have had to carry on working for much longer. Essentially I believe the service I have received has been a game changer!

What could they have done better?

I doubt anything could have been done better and I have no hesitation recommending Sarah & AINV.
