I contacted Luke on behalf of a family member struggling to understand information that had been sent to her regarding a pension. Luke was very friendly, knowledgeable and interested in helping us. Once the information had been looked at by Luke, he scheduled a telephone call, he explained everything in detail, answered all questions asked and advised us on the best options to take. We cannot recommend luke more, if you have any doubts or queries then he certainly is the correct person to approach. Thanks again Luke!

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Re-structuring our borrowing with the bank so that the family trust was no longer a borrower.

How has Luke Sword helped you?

Excellent mediator between us and the lender. He supplied us with the figures we needed and explained the different options open to us.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, everything has turned out as we had hoped and the pressure is now off for 10 years during which time we expect to make substantial capital sales.

What could they have done better?

The cost of the Certificate of Title was unexpected and was not factored into the cost of the loan. It's worth knowing beforehand if the lender requires this.

I tragically lost my fiancé and father to our two young daughters to suicide in 2019 and I had to make decisions regards ourselves future in terms of mortgage, life insurance and other things to secure my future and our daughters.

During a difficult time for us as a family and an change in circumstances, Luke has been extremely patient. He has listened to our needs and found exactly what we need.

Due to a change in circumstances, our plans have changed and Covid hasn’t helped progress - Luke is on standby for when we are ready to make the next move. We don’t feel pressured by him at all and are looking forward to finding a mortgage soon.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We were seeking a better mortgage deal, having had our Santander repayment mortgage for 10 years with a not so good standard variable rate. As we had a good repayment history (even though we'd had an unfortunate change in circumstances) but considered that we had limited options.

How has Luke Sword helped you?

Luke was able to reassure us that we were likely to still have the option to remain with Santander but with a new mortgage product. Luke provided us their mortgage product options and his recommendation (having clearly listened carefully to our objectives) and we choose a 5 year fixed rate mortgage which will save us about £145 per month (£1,740 annually) from April 2020. I am very grateful we now have this in place especially with the huge changes brought about by the current pandemic health crisis. Luke even assisted us when I had a technical problem accepting the offer online from Santander, getting in touch with them on behalf of me to help sort out our acceptance with them before the offer window expired.

Within a few hours of my enquiring at a Financial Consultant in Dursley, Luke was on the phone following up my enquiry which was for my son and his partner. Luke sent me some examples of the sort of mortgage available to my son which I then forwarded onto him. He then made contact with Luke re-same but most of all my son was concerned that his partner was not on the same salary as when they took out the mortgage and if Santander found out they might stop his mortgage. Luke was able to ensure them that was the case with their payment record.
