Firstly an appalling service from the people who held my pension funds. They were so bad that I had to go to a financial advisor to get any answers.

After two failed starts with other financial advisors - they never came back to me despite ME chasing them. Nick produced answers within a month, got valuations and generally got on with it.

It was like a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I put my trust in Nick who explained everything to me. I asked for the paperwork and financial side of my affairs to be handled by HGH Wealth, to free my time up with my young daughter and concentrate on our future.

Although I am receiving the income required from this investment, at the moment the original lump sum has been reduced. Nick Lawson told me at the onset that this would be the case early on in the investment. As I only commenced the investment in 2013, I understand that this situation is normal.

I was already a client of Hunter Gee & Holroyd and I was looking for advice on how to invest in local companies rather than quoted funds and companies. The pension fund was a possibility.

Nick suggested converting my SIPP fund to a SASS which can then invest in unquoted companies.

Yes. The company Nick's firm work with for pensions provision established the SASS and executed the loan to the local company I had in mind.

What could they have done better?

Nothing. The largest problem was getting the original fund manager to process the release of funds. Nick pursued them extensively in order to expedite the transaction.
