What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I used Dawn for buying my first house and am in contact with her again regarding moving house.

How has Dawn Ramsay helped you?

Dawn is extremely helpful and very knowledgable. Excellent communication, gets back to me very quickly and has provided invaluable advice. I have recommended Dawn to others and wouldn’t use anyone else. Dawn got us a fantastic mortgage deal and has helped us every step along the way.

Finding a mortgage to buy a house through New Supply Shared Equity scheme.

How has Dawn Ramsay helped you?

Dawn helped us as first time buyers using Scottish Government Shared Equity scheme to get a mortgage. She provided an excellent service from start to finish and was always available if we needed any advice.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. Despite a few bumps in the road with lockdown happening Dawn was always on hand to help smooth the bumps out.

What could they have done better?

I don't think Dawn could've done anything better to be honest.

Dawn was great from start to finish with me and my partner. We were also held back a year which dawn kept in touch throughout and kept us as ease. After the first mortgage offer run out she quickly got it sorted, that wasn’t easy for me as I’m self employed. Very professional and really easy to get on with.

Dawn worked hard to find the right product for us. She was especially effective in dealing with our existing mortgage provider who were as much use as a chocolate ashtray.

Yes. After Dawn's dogged pursuit of a result, we have since moved without a hitch.

Dawn took us through all the steps needed to get on the property ladder, from advice on Help to Buy ISA's, in order to maximize savings to increase deposit through to choosing appropriate cover for buildings and contents cover.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My kids and I were living in a rented house. I owned a flat that I rented out. After my husband passed away last year, I decided to sell my flat, give up the rented house and buy a property.

How has Dawn Ramsay helped you?

Dawn's advice has been invaluable to me for several years now. At each point where my circumstances have changed, Dawn has given me excellent advice. In this occasion, things were slightly more complicated as I had put in an offer on a house prior to selling the flat. This meant that the best option for me would be to have 2 x mortgages running at the same time for a short period. Dawn made this happen, and got me a very reasonable deal on my new mortgage.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. The purchase of the house went through perfectly, and a couple of weeks later I completed the sale of my flat.

What could they have done better?

I can't think of anything Dawn could have done better.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Unusual Mortgage required whereby half of the value of the property was gifted to us so only a limited number of lenders would provide such a service

How has Dawn Ramsay helped you?

She took control of the complete situation, gathered all of the information for us, dealt with the lender and solicitor on our behalf. When the online application was initially rejected she contacted the lender direct and resolved the issues.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes we received a mortgage for our current property

What could they have done better?

We had a very good relationship with Dawn, she kept us up to date with the progress of the mortgage etc, re-assured us when it was rejected and proactively pursued the mortgage with the lender until the offer was on the table. There isn't much more that she could have done better, she even took calls from us while she was on holiday.

Consolidated with our existing mortgage to help us increase our mortgage to buy our new home. Provided advise on best way to do this, and took the stress away - she did all the paperwork and the process was really straightforward for us.
