What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

As a first time buyer, I had no idea where to start. I set out to find a reliable and helpful mortgage adviser, with the expert knowledge to help make this happen.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was buying my first house in 2016.

How has Sonny Gill helped you?

Sonny’s details were passed to me from my first mortgage advisor who was unable to find me a suitable mortgage. Sonny found me a good mortgage deal in 2016, and more recently has found me a good deal with a different provider and has switched my mortgage over.

Yes.

What could they have done better?

Nothing. Sonny has been really helpful and has even been available to help me over the phone with filling out forms from the solicitor. Sonny has been great at speaking to me over the phone and being available outside my long working hours. I’ve really appreciated him being in contact and always being able to reach him. He always responds very quickly to emails and texts. He is friendly and gives great advice.

I was a first-time buyer looking to get on the property ladder, with an affordable home and affordable mortgage.

How has Sonny Gill helped you?

Sonny completely understood my situation, a single person on a relatively low income, and still managed to find me a really good mortgage that suited my needs. Sonny took care of everything for me, including sourcing and applying for the mortgage while ensuring that I would be able to afford it as well as all of my other outgoings. He also showed me my options for buildings/contents and income protection insurances as well as sourcing and instructing a solicitor for me.

I was buying a property.

Sonny is really good and helpful. He did all the work for me. He got all the mortgage offers and found the best for me. He did the application and chased the mortagage for me, saved me a lot of time and hassle.

Yes, i bought the property via the lender with the best rates.

Nothing really. I am very happy with the service and would definetly recommend him to all my friends and family.

We were buying our first house together.

Not only did Sonny sort our mortgage out incredibly efficiently he helped us with getting our sale through from the offer to us getting the keys in just over a month.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

better than we were hoping for, Sonny is both professional and friendly and always on hand to advise and help in anyway possible. He really does go above an beyond to make the experience of buying a house as stress free as possible.

What could they have done better?

I really didn't need anything more from Sonny, he was giving me regular updates without me having to chase him for them. He was fast and when his bit of the sales process was done he helped us with our solicitors and the estate agents. I wouldn't consider using anyone else in future.

Sonny advised me early in the process of the type of loan I could get. He tailored his advice for my personal circumstances. He was very quick to respond to messages and was very flexible to fit in with my own working hours.

Yes - Sonny quickly applied for a mortgage in principle at short notice for myself which was very helpful given that the property I made an offer for was high in demand. He also coordinated the application process and was quick to chase estate agents and solicitors to help me speed up the process.

Sonny was brilliant from the first phone call. He was very understanding of my financial situation and gave good advice. Sonny found a mortgage for me that took tax credits into consideration, something I was very stressed about. Sonny came to my house to gather the information needed for the mortgage and kept me informed every step of the way . Often sending a supportive email asking how the house hunt was going and asking if he could be if any help.

Yes. Mortgage now in place and Just waiting on solicitors etc. Sonny put together a great life and critical illness policy to.

As a first time buyer I had no idea where to look for a mortgage and where to get the best deals so having Sonny there to help was a massive help and less stress for me.

How has Sonny Gill helped you?

Sonny helped with advise initially on affordability and what to expect. Also set expectations for the next steps which helped as I didn't have a clue. Due to certain criteria, there were certain problems going with particular mortgage lenders and although this was worrying, Sonny helped find other suitable lenders stress free.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

We were accepted for a mortgage and currently are waiting for a completion date.

What could they have done better?

I can't say there's anything Sonny didn't do for us so I can't really answer this question.

We were clear and happy with the services provided. Sonny provided recommendations on both a buy to let and second home mortgage and additional insurance. The recommendations were the result of meetings, email and telephone communication so were tailored and suited to our needs. Looking to purchase our first home, so we required advice.

How has Sonny Gill helped you?

He went though the specifics of the mortgage and whether we would be in a position to pay all of the costs involved. Income and expenditure was completed and we found that we had quite a large sum left per month. His explanation was spot on and wording which would be simple to understand at I can't remember becoming confused at any point. Helped us get the cheapest but most reliable mortgage lender.

Sonny found us a mortgage deal that met our needs, gave us support on the properties we were interested in and identified the life cover most suitable to us. The mortgage deal Sonny found met our criteria and more, and I wouldn't have been able to find that deal without his help.

Yes the recommendations Sonny made were what we had asked for and he understood our financial position fully. He worked hard to get us the best deal possible and was always available to answer any questions. As a result of his advice we now have a mortgage deal that is well suited to us and we have now completed on our new home.

Unlike other advisors I have met in the past (mainly estate agency based) he approaches everything with the customer in mind...... Not just out to make a quick buck. I got in contact with Sonny from SG Mortgages on a recommendation and could not be more happy with the service I received. Sonny has been fantastic in finding me the right mortgage and in dealing with any problems immediately. I was particularly happy at how quickly Sonny would respond to phone messages and emails, and has always kept me in the loop about with was happening with my mortgage lender. Would definitely recommend SG Mortgages to anybody seeking advice on a house purchase. Very reasonable rates and outstanding service.

Absolutely. Sonny helped me through the entire purchasing process and was always easy to contact for advice. He assisted me in making decisions surrounding the buying process such as the survey and legal proceedings as well as finding me a great mortgage deal. Very good and professional service provided.

What could they have done better?

Being easy to contact was the most important aspect for me in this process, and Sonny was always quick to return texts and phone calls, so that I felt valued as a client and had all the support that I needed. I can't think of any area that needed improvement. Communication between Sonny and my solicitor was an issue but this was the fault of the solicitor lacking competence rather than any issue on Sonny's part.

The thought of researching endlessly for the right mortgage filled me with absolute dread and it was the last thing I wanted to do every night after being at work all day. Sonny from SG Mortgages took that stress away. Home appointments at a time to suit me - day and night, knowledgable about the market, answered every question I had.
