What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for a legal adviser?

My employer had not honoured my notice period.

Daniel Oakland gave me a call the next day. We talked about my case and he provided with very clear advice about what preliminary steps I need to clarify before I open the legal case through his office. At this stage, I am in the process of preparing for the initial steps and will inform Daniel in due course. We have not yet discussed about charges yet and I am sure it will be raised in our next communication.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for a legal adviser?

- Refusal of Employer to formalise me into a role I'd been in everything but name for over a year. - A much less experienced, 8 week joiner handed the role + job title + related pay. - I wasn't even informed - I found out. - Same time Employer was seeking to add to my daily tasks....the tasks that went with the job they wouldn't formalise me into. As well as wanting me to undertake these additional tasks for no extra remuneration or better job title. As well as train their 8 week appointee how to do the job they were unwilling to give me.

- Formulate an informed strategy for seeking and obtaining redress. - As well as patiently explaining the pros and cons of each step of the process.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I find out in a week's time. However, after counsel from Daniel....I was able to confidently request....(and receive)....a face-to-face meeting with the responsible Director. Something I wouldn't have had the confidence to request...prior to my contact with Daniel. So to me...that's already a positive outcome - That I was able to face my professional adversary.

What could they have done better?

Nada - Daniel was A-Starred!!!
