Taking Retirement, had two pensions and to understand the best I could get from them, for me.

How has Jenny Jackson helped you?

Jenny, advised me of what was best for me, and helped to get my pensions transferred. One of my pension provider was taking a long time to transfer my funds, Jenny advised me how to deal with them, she also contacted them, without her advise, knowledge, and help I would have not know how to deal with this.

I contacted Jenny to look at my pensions, savings and investments to help both advise and guide me into retirement.

How has Jenny Jackson helped you?

Jenny has looked at my different pension pots, advised me to leave two of the pensions where they are due to their benefits and amalgamated the others into one pension.

The transfer was completed in 2022 and was based over a medium term, early days but all looking good currently.

My wife and I continue to receive good advice from Jenny which has kept us on track with where we need to be with our savings, investments and pension. Obviously Covid, the war in Ukraine and the present economic climate don't help but we are hopeful our next review in early 2023 may have some slightly better news and Jenny's ever skilful approach and understanding of our position will assist us to maintain our standard of living as it has since my early retirement. As she says, look at the long term not the short term!!

Jenny helped assess where we were financially in our lives, helped us explore in real terms what we wanted from our current and future finances and came up with viable options for us to consider. We really liked that she impressively combined both her extensive financial knowledge and the human element of explaining our options in ways we understood, following them through efficiently and keeping in touch each step of the way. My Husband had been moved to many Pension providers & we didn’t know whether to amalgamate them or leave them alone as we didn’t know what guarantees they may have held!

Jenny did a thorough look at our expenses/wages and asked us what we wanted in retirement, she also asked us to complete a questionnaire to see what our attitude to risk was I.e Low/Medium/High which would help her find a suitable product!

Yes, Jenny advised us to keep one of the Pensions and move the others into a Plan (which gave my partner full access later on in life). We also received a free Will for being her client which is a God send as we have never had one before!

I had some savings but, with the low interest rates, I felt that they would just dwindle and wondered if they could do better. I was also worried about the Inheritance Tax as I am a widow with my own house and was unsure of the law.

Jenny talked me through all the possibilities and set up what she felt would maximise my savings. She also explained the laws regarding Inheritance Tax. I was recently approached about setting up a Trust for my children and I was able to consult her about this and get some really valuable information and advice. Mrs Jackson spent time reviewing the pensions and savings of myself and my wife and established the type of investors were. She then gave structured proposals and advice that met our needs for the future. Mrs Jackson had also saved ne from incurring a tax liability by ensuring that I took action so that I did not exceed my LTA for my pension investments.
