Myself and my husband were purchasing a property and needed advice regarding the most suitable mortgage available.

How has Darren Turnbull helped you?

Darren searched the market for us and ran through all of the options available. With his help we decided that a fixed rate product would suit us best and Darren arranged the mortgage application for us.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

We have now moved into our new property and the mortgage completion went through promptly and smoothly.

What could they have done better?

There is nothing that Darren could have done better. He clearly explained the options to us and was very easy to deal with.

Very approachable, talks openly about options. Always quick to respond to queries.

What could they have done better?

Darren talks a lot of sense, but I'd appreciate a financial advisor who could also talk about alternative investments...such as crowd funding, buying gold etc. These are alternative options on the market, and expert knowledge about them would be helpful in assessing overall where to invest. Just a thought.

Darren is always readily available to give advice or reassurance that pensions and investments are doing well He listens to any concerns and addresses them . He inspires confidence that he has ones best interests at heart and he gives advice on changing or not changing investments with good explanations for his reasoning. He offers regular personal reviews and newsletters. He is always smart, polite and professional but friendly in his manner.

What could they have done better?

I am not aware of anything that he could do better. My only problem in doing this review is that I do not have any other experience of financial advisors with which to compare Darren. I have had no reason to try others.

Darren does his job very well but does use "jargon" which can be confusing, but having said that he always takes time to explain or answer questions if you don't understand.

Good Afternoon, I advise that this request was not received from Vouched for - first we knew about this enquiry was on the 23/9/14 when we went on Vouched For to verify a different clients feedback - we contacted Vouched For at this time to advise the enquiry was not received and they have since run tests but we have still not managed to obtain a justifiable reason why the enquiry was not received. Vouched For have contacted me again today to advise that they have looked into things and recommended that I leave a reply as they cannot confirm what happened to the enquiry when made on the 29th of August.We would be happy to move things forward if the enquiry is still relevant and we sincerely apologise that you have not received a response although it was for reasons outwith our control. Darren is a superb Financial Advisor...he managed my Mothers financial matters brilliantly for many years and after she died he was supportive and helpful sorting it all out for us. Her Portfolio had done outstandingly well under his care and we have carried on with Darren and he has advised and guided us in investing money left for my two sons by my Mum and another lump sum. Both those funds are doing remarkably well. Darren has advised on health policies and most recently arranged a very competitive mortgage. I wouldn't use anyone else to manage my financial affairs. Darren is totally trustworthy - he is also very friendly and gets back to you straight away. :)

I honestly cant say - we were just very happy with Darren service.

Darren reviews my portfolio regulary and advises me of any changes that I could make to my financial advantage so that I have the best current deal for my mortgage, savings etc. He understands that I do not like to take risks with money (even if it could result in a better financial gain for myself!) and there is no pressure for me to do so. I feel he has great expertise in his field of work and explains my options to me clearly without any financial jargon.
